TheHistorian: Very good job you have done above here bro, I was about posting the above when I came here and you have already posted it. Kudos to you "thehistorian". The info above is very correct. UI most likely to conduct post UTME. As for me, am ready for the beef. God will do it. it's time to go back to the reading table. *looks for my nerdy spectacle, runs out of thread. 1 Like 1 Share |

Rursh:Thanks for the commendation, bruh. Though the report seem unofficial. But,there is this saying that.." in every rumour;there is always an iota of truth"...I'd implore everyone to go pick up their books once again and leave no stone unturned. The Post UTME comprises of 25 questions each from your 4 UTME subjects which sums it up to 100.There is no need to panic as the questions are almost a replica of UTME questions. Lest I forget,Calculators are outrightly prohibited. So,Potential Technologists, start equipping yourself with the necessary skills and knowledge to solve basic mathematical equations without the usage of Calculator. Gracias! |

;D. Let ur mind be at rest. The news don't look like it has any atom of credibility!. FG scrapped off post ume last year. Ui is federal govt owned tertiary institution. I don't think anyone in his or her right senses would bite the fingers that he or she consistently feeds on. Buhari led govt is a no nonsense one Thou,if post ume is to hold,I will just go and buy celin Dion music and start dancing I don't remember when last I read my books but the truth is that post ume is way better than this yeye point system. Still,I don't see this post ume of a thing coming, so free ur mind bro . Bobola07: 1 Like |

oldfoolnigger:Appears to me you don't know the drive behind this "unconfirmed news". 2016/2017 admitted students are not performing up to the expected par........5/40,6/40 in a test. With Test in this woeful state..Examination results will be far worse. Then,POSTUTME "might" be inevitable. You think UI will be docile enough to admit students via same filthy and porous route. I reitrate....POSTUTME IS LIKELY TO HAPPEN. 4 Likes |

Just wondering how they got to know that this current 100l folks are not performing fine when they are not even through with first semester academic calendar. I love post ume thou. |

This admission processing period is the time a lot of mischievous minds concoct different kind of fake write-ups. Some will compile fake cutoff marks and the likes. But again, it looks like Mr Rursh was present in UI while the meeting took place, or he knows someone who knows someone who was present in the meeting, and was able to get first hand information. I want to believe that he didn't just see the news posted on Facebook or nairaland and concluded it was true. However, whatever modality UI will be using, I pray it favours us all. Happy new month. 1 Like |

donblazer10: 2016 100L students perform so woefully....due to scraping of p.utme...they were mostly below average academically...... more so,this will give more chance for the intake of Direct Entry candidates because most of the freshers (with poor results) won't make it to 200L ..... maybe that's why ui wanna bring back post jamb so as to get ride of fringe students(who got olevel &jamb results from runs) causing poor academies 1 Like |

The attention of Management has been drawn to pieces of information purportedly issued by the University regarding cut-off points for courses as well as other unsubstantiated claims about the 2017/18 admission exercise. For the avoidance of doubt, Management wishes to inform all prospective applicants and the general public that the admission process in the University has not yet started. They are, therefore, advised to dismiss all such claims and be on the look-out for information on the commencement of the exercise. Any candidate who transacts business with unscrupulous elements who are out to defraud them does so at his/her own risk. Furthermore, candidates who applied for Pharmacy in the University are reminded to either change their course or Institution as the course is not on offer for the 2017/18 session. The only authentic website of the University from which information on the admission exercise could be obtained is www.ui.edu.ng . Please beware. |

Post UTME is the best of way of screening candidates into Universities as many candidates cheat in JAMB and WAEC. It is very "difficult" to cheat during Post UTME. The point system adopted by UI is not the best way of admitting students. You see candidates with 7 As with 280 in JAMB with nothing upstairs and you begin to wonder what happened. Many candidates have not been able to get their desired course due to the point system but of course some candidates merit their admission using the point system. In 2011, my younger brother got admitted to Medicine and Surgery through Post UTME but this was after using the point system to screen out candidates. Candidates who meet the cut off point after the point system were the ones invited for Post UTME. He narrowly escaped being screened out after meeting the borderline point. He had 289 in JAMB, I can't remember his grades at O'level. He had 80% in Post UTME and many candidates who had better point after the point system couldn't make 50% with some scoring very embarrassing marks. You begin to have so many options of what happened. Was the candidate not prepared? Was he physically, mentally and spiritually unstable during the exam? Only God knows. In 2014, there was no point system, everybody who had above 200 was invited for Post UTME and the best were chosen. A younger brother to a friend got admitted to Medicine and Surgery after scoring 282 in JAMB and 76 in Post UTME. The admission was free and fare. It depends on whatever way UI wants to admitted students this year but I sincerely hope there will be Post UTME. Every candidate should be given an opportunity, 2011 mode of admission should not be adopted because not every candidate had the opportunity to sit for the Post UTME. If UI decides to use the point system, so be it, we can not query them for it, we can only hope for the best. I wish you all success. For those of us tired of staying at home, it is better you find something to do because you can not resume earlier than February 2018. My younger sister is tired too, she is going for LAW. Happy New Month. 1 Like 1 Share |
