Fill another DS-160 and update the form code on your visa appointment profile so that your form confirmation code and appointment schedule code will tally. That way, you won't have any issue. You can pm me if you need assistance in doing that. Safe!

Thank you sir cos I think this should solve my problem. But it still baffles me how u didn't know SEVIS

Thanks bro. But wouldn't the VO detect duplicate DS-160s for my passport number?
Lol. Highly unlikely. The confirmation number is what is used to call it up during the interview. It's why it is stressed that the confirmation number on your DS160 must match what you have on your appointment booking.
Don't worry about it much, a lot of folks here had to fill more than one DS160 until they got the desired fit.

I guess the guy did not complete the statements as written on the DS160 cos "refused visa" is among the question. Although I stand to be corrected, but if not I hope it hasn't cost the guy. I've uploaded a screenshot of the section of d question below

Your first sentence says it all.
He asked a question and he got replies. Come to think of it, I asked that he reads it very well. If truly did that, then he wouldn't have any problem.
Even if he did check the wrong box, if he's able to justify the error as an oversight during the interview then the consequences of the mistake becomes infinitesimal.

While an official financial affidavit is a document from a sponsor that states on paper his desire to sponsor you financially with the financial capacity stated.( It is usually prepared by your sponsor or a template may be provided by the school.)

A statement of account is a breakdown of the different transactions on the said account over a period of time with the closing balance stated.( It is usually issued by the bank or account officer).

This comment heeeen heeeen! grin grin grin Someone is going to conference, to you that is lavishing. Travelling for holiday and tourism is good if you have money. Your travelling experience is important sometimes when applying to visit advanced countries. Why do you think this question keeps popping up during interview?: Have you traveled before?

The details of the card must have been American then and not Nigeria.

I see you are asking people to comment and contribute on ur diary
https://www.nairaland.com/3926467/naija-yankee-thoughts-experiences/1#3926467.55
You started ur experience in the diary section and there is no way people can ever comment or ask their questions there cos access is to u ONLY. Maybe u should start it in the travelling section.
Cheers.

Are you sure you can register for SAT online in Nigeria? Only if it's part of the new SAT. If all your options are exhausted and still unable to register, you can contact. How far with your IELTS prep? Goodluck.

Online registration is now available in Nigeria. Its going well. Thanks

If possible, have the money transferred to your account/card you'll use to book and let it be yours to avoid stories that touch. I recently did my own US domestic flight booking with my GT Naira Mastercard, As part of the booking process, you will be informed that you won't be allowed to check in if you don't have the card that was used to book. So I'd advice you have the money transferred to the card/account you're gonna use to travel. You can go with the card na, even if you don't need it over there.
Thank you. Were you able to pay baggage fee?

This is so very important!

I should also state that it is CRITICAL you do this at least 3 days before your scheduled appointment. I was turned back yesterday because the confirmation code I had did not match the one the embassy had.

The problem was that I had rescheduled from the 27th to the 31st and filled out a new DS 160. I made the reschedule on the 27th itself. I got an email with a new DS 160 and new appointment confirmation. They both had the same barcode. I got to the embassy but was turned back because the code did not update on their system. It turns out it is not automatic. Any change and update of DS 160 confirmation number needs to be done at least 3 days before your new appointment date so that it will reflect on their system.

Good morning house
Had my first delay 10th of July n again had my second delay 31st of July.....Both in Abuja
Was delayed last year for a B1/B2 visa before now

Here's my transcript below for yesterday, really confused

Me: Good morning
Vo: Act like she didn't hear me
Me: I ignored too
Vo: What course are u going for
Me: Master in educational Leadership/Administration
Vo: Why this school
Me: I choosed d skul coz it's ranked number one among other schools in New Mexico for successful career outcome for its students, it's also known for its renowned academic excellent, it has a low student to staff ratio which will enable me learn easily, n I'll also be working with prof James burns whom ive being in contact with right from my admission process, he agreed I joined his research group upon my arrival.
(She was just nodding, only God knows why she was nodding)
Vo: Then she stated interacting with one other new lady that she was tutoring, her attention on me was so divided. All this started from d Begining of d interview.
Vo: I noticed u applied few weeks back and was denied
Me : yes
Vo: Has anything changed since then (She meant on my ds160)
Me: No, still the same
Vo: Then she continued with her interaction with d lady, this time two other ladies. To me I was wondering if that was d right time to tutor someone.....While outside I saw her taking this same lady around showing her some certain things even before my interview......
BACK TO D TRANSCRIPT
Vo: After tutoring for a while then she asked Why should I grant u this visa?

Me: I need all the necessary skills I can possibly get in becoming a successful school administrator, thereby helping to improve on d quality of education rendered in my dad school where I work as d school administrator, This program will train me to lead a nurturing and inclusive learning environment for children at all grade level, it will also train me to motivate teachers and even students and also motivate them to work to their best potential, and set a tone for continuous development...
Vo: She looked at her screen and continued her discussion and after a while she handed me d blue paper n bla bla bla

Please people where on earth have I gone wrong?
I'm really tired and confused coz my program starts 14th of August

lol...b1/b2 visa is a 2 year multiple entry to the US. It's a tourist or conference visa. Meaning after you attend the conference, you can still go to the US anytime within that 2years.
You can stay for 6months, leave and come back later till the 2year visa duration ends.
Though some people dissappear when they get there but I don't think it's worth it.
Because if you maintain status quo and respect the visa category rules, when it's time to renew, you don't have to attend an interview again.
I think they"ll now give you 10years and that I think gives you a shot to chase your very own American dream if you believe in it.
You mighht see it like spending hard earned money, but I see it like an investment into my life.
Please fellow nairalander, hope am correct about the renewal duration rate? I.e 10years when the 2yrears expires.

Work on "why you chose bgsu". Read past transcripts and learn the key points. Please dont use that line again

Are you really going to do research?

After high school, you joined the govt's football club in 2014 where you... Then if you did any work there or taught exercise sessions or did some courses related to sports and science, state them. You said you prepared towards bgsu requirements, you can include them.

Then they might ask why you didn't choose to go for undergrad immediately after high school, have answers to this.

teebriz45:
Was denied visa today for the second time this month at Lagos CG. Please help me review my transcripts.

Vo- Tell me where you are going to in US?

Me- Bowling Green state university in ohio for my bachelor's degree Exercise Science.

Vo- Why bgsu?

Me- they have low students ratio majoring in exercise science. (VO CUTS IN)
