Both the defunct northern and western regions of Nigeria including some lazy parchments in the defunct eastern and midwestern regions are hellishly afraid of the real restructure of the cesspit or at best, the disintegration of Nigeria.

Wrong! Wrong!! Wrong!!!
Yorubas economic blueprint have been prepared decades ago.
Don't get it twisted, Yorubas understand Nigeria politics which is why South West is the least poverty ridden region in the country.
When other regions are tired of this geo-entity called Nigeria, we will all jaw-jaw on how we want the inevitable disintegration of the zoo

I have so much respect for this Governor...

Among the straight and honest Elder in the North.

Northern Elder Forum is a disgrace... GrandStanding and deceiving themselves instead of to come out clean and we all look for solution together.... they choose to come out with gimmick...

We have such low standards for northern leadership that someone who regurgitates what many have been saying for decades now elicits respect.

Let him sort out his state and then we can talk about 'respect'.

Maybe the heading should have read - Why we are afraid of the explosive progress of the south through their continuous call and struggle for political and economic emancipation from the North undecided

Could i here u saying western region is affraid of fiscal restructuring or even outright disintegration,u must be saying this out of ignorance, you see, most of the infrastructures we are looking up today in SW was built with proceed from cocoa during the old western region,i'm categorically telling u that we are better off when we were practising fiscal federalism/regionalism . Besides, could i hear u saying midwest(Edo and Delta) is affraid as well,as at today, we have 9 oil producing states excluding Lagos, and these two affordmention states were among, then what are u trying to insinuate about them.

Lies. Yorubas are have always been ready (mentally and economically) of restructuring. It is the Igbos and the North that are scared shitless:

Also, don't forget that it was an Igbo man (Ironsi) that put Nigeria in this FAKE federal mess. He did it to benefit Igbos. Now, that it is backfiring all you yamirins are crying like monkeys that fell inside a deep well.

From: Lawal Sa’idu Funtua, Katsina

Governor Aminu Bello Masari of Katsina State has disclosed that the North’s over dependence on what is coming from the centre is the source of fear by the region over the agitation of restructuring by the North.
“This over dependence on allocation from the centre must stop if we are to progress. We have the population, we have both human and material resources; but we must have the political will to do the right thing” he added.
Masari made the disclosure, yesterday, while launching the production of PVC Pipes by AMPRI GLOBAL Limited at their production sites in Kankia, Katsina State.
He noted that the only way out was through the promotion of medium and small scale businesses to provide revenue for both the state and local governments and generate employment for the youth to boost their economic status.

According to the governor the Kankia Metal Works was leased to the AMPRI GLOBAL Limited in order to put machineries provided at the site to proper use and ease the government wasteful spending in maintaining the facility even though it was not operating.
In a remark, the state commissioner of commerce, industry and tourism, Alhaji Abubakar Yusuf said with the commencement of production of PVC by the company it had fully completed its full package of production lines.
He assured the people of the state that the present administration was committed to the resuscitation of additional industries and establishment of new ones in the state through partnership with prospective investors.

You are right!! Deeply Igbos don't want restructuring, what they want is outright secession provided they are allowed to secede with oil producing part of the S/South and a guarantee sea access. They know restructuring which guarantees true federalism and resource control that will isolate their SE region from the SS is like a death penalty to them and they will fight all they can to go against such restructuring.
Ibos and the North share the same apprehension about restructuring of Nigeria
The S/South region that has consistently disassociated herself from Biafra will then agree to secede from Nigeria and go with Biafra?
How do y'all sit down and make these insinuations and aspersion on igbos to score cheap points and likes?
This is not the 60s, the Igbos of today are only after seceding with the current Five igbo states that make up the South East which ironically have abundant deposits of the 'black gold' and will perform better even with out proceeds from oil.
Only a foool will believe your lame and ignorant remarks.
