30 mins charging is from the supercharger stations and not from home. To charge that thing full from home ur gonna need to plug it in overnight.
Toh, atleast no spending on fuel or servicing every 3 months

Seriously??...u are comparing gear transmission in cars to the need to eliminate one of the major causes of pollution in the world..where have u been in the last decade when the shout of ozone layer depletion and green house effect has gone up....
Africa and the Saudis are the major players when it comes to crude oil recently the Koreans and more muslim Nation are joining the petroleum products decision makers...
U think this is about car production?...it more about controlling power, taking away complete leverage nd dependency of the world rulers on some sets of country....
Have u noticed how android is completely taking over, it's like a universal operating system every phone has to have..all off a sudden it all seems like we are using the same phones covered by different casing of phone maker.....brother!!...there's an "end move"with the android OS...that is a discussion for another day..
That's part of how the need for petroleum product devices will be fizzled out..an also more importantly through implementation of world wide pollution laws and sanctions....
its only time....weda it's 5,10 or 60years..it will happen..cos there's always an end game move with all these decisions...

Ummm... Why all the long sermon only to arrive at wether 5,10 or 60yrs it will happen? I don't remember me saying it won't happen but not in the nearest future. Gasoline cars will still be produced. It might be scrapped in the advanced countries but will really take a long time for it to be scrapped in developing countries. So let's say Toyota stops making gasoline cars in the USA by 2030, that means there will be an all electric Camry in the states but they would still make gasoline versions that will sell in Nigeria and other developing countries.

at home you charge overnight . Most of you here are mistaking a Hybrid car for a full electric car .
Those short charges are for within city centres short distances . For long distance that won't work it has to be long charge like the tesla brand. This why we do not have recharge points on the Motorways yet .

Umm.. what's the difference between what u just typed and what I typed earlier? U said it can be charged at home and I said don't expect quick charge at home as it is in the supercharger stations. Just like some people screaming here that it takes just 30 mins to charge.

Chinese have not replicated G-wagon Hummer and range

My brother you're on a long thing.... I have seen G-wagon and Range Rover look alike cars, same body designs with some modern functions but like I said, the cars are way cheaper and substandard. The keyless function is not as sensitive as the original brands and the comfort can't be like the original Mercedes and Range Rover. You can't see most of this Chinese car companies in Nigeria because we don't have long term payment packages that encourage buying brand new cars.

The difference is there is nothing like super charger . There is no difference btween the charging point on the rd and the point at home either than pricing . They take same time but on street is cheaper . Cos it's subsidised by local council to encourage green energy

Guy i guess you need to do more research on the difference between super charging (fast charging) and charging at home. There's a huge difference and it's the Current(Amps) at which the super charger works. The average current rating for an average home is between 60Amps and 100Amps compared to super charger of higher than 100Amps. You can do the maths yourself and use a 70KWH battery. Its not rocket science.
Charging at home will definitely take longer time.

Stop to recharge at Ore. The idea is to have charging stations where gas stations are presently located. 20-30 mins to full charge would be the ideal scenario.

The only problem Tesla is facing is shortage of service centers, your car breaks down, and there's no one in town who knows anything about fixing it and the closest service center is 500 miles away.
You've got a workable idea!

You are talking Tesler . I'm talking about electric cars . Tesler is less than %10 of all electric cars. How about the BMws , Nissan leaf . Smart . Honda Toyota's that do not have model s batteries cos from the charging point in front of my house it's same thing with the ones at home only cheaper . My next door owns one of those BMW electric car . She charges on street as it's cheaper however you are only restricted to 4 hours of usage at any one time to allow for others.

LOL, pls tell me u didn't just say that. Dude go make ur research, a tesla supercharger takes around 1 hour and 10 mins to charge from zero to 100 while the home charger takes between 8-10 hours.

The picture below is from Tesla website and it clearly states that the included home charger will give u 29 miles range for 1 hour charging. So divide 220 miles by 29 u get approximately 7.5 which is like 7 and half hours to charge to full from zero for the model 3. And for the Model S with 300 miles range will take like 10 hours to charge. Of course I don't expect everyone to use up all their batteries everyday, so majority are still gonna have like 40-50% batter left by the time they get back home but even at that urs still gonna need some good 4 hours to charge it from home.

So tell me how that is the same with Tesla superchargers that would charge the car within 1 hour?

Comparing a Nissan Leaf to Tesla? lol, this is just like comparing a toyota corolla to a mercedes benz s class... do u expect the same fuel economy? The highest spec'd Nissan leaf has 30kwh battery producing 107hp and a range of around 140miles. Now compare that to a Tesla model s p100D with 100kwh battery and about 700hp and a range of over 330 miles and a very good performance vehicle, even faster than some super cars. C'mon u should know better that bigger batteries mean longer charging time.

Even at that a Nissan leaf does not significantly charge faster at home even though it is has significantly smaller battery and power than a tesla model 3 with 75kwh battery. From Nissan website Nissan leaf with a smaller 24kwh battery takes like 7 hours to charge full while the 30kwh battery takes 9.5 hours to charge from home.. that is about the same time it takes to charge a tesla model s P100D (The highest spec'd model S with range of over 330 miles) from home. So bro to charge any electric car faster u need to take it to supercharging stations, charging from home is for overnight charging. Even if u shoose to upgrade ur Nissan Leaf its still gonna take 4 hours to charge it.. still not fatser than charging a tesla at home as even the smallest battery tesla has a battery that is more than 2 times bigger than that of a Nissan leaf.

You are missing the point, TESLA does not speak for all electric vehicles, TESLA is less than %10 of all electric vehicles.SO you cant use Tesla as a yard stick, we have loads of them here in the UK, they even start to use them as TAXIS,, they go to the normal charge points every one goes to.MayB in America where they come from they have their own special charge point made specifically for them as written in the link up there, but in the UK Nahh Charging points are owned by Local councils not car manufacturers, do you now see where Im coming from?

The basis of this argument was that u claimed home charging and using a supercharger are the same and I am trying to prove to u that they are NOT THE SAME (at least for Tesla which right now are providing the yardstick for electric cars). And there's no way u can charge an electric car for 30 mins from home.. that technology is not available just yet.. might be in the nearest future.

cos we have electric fork lift at work and we also have gas powered ones . Have you used an electric vehicle b4?
Do you know how much it cost to charge a car for 24 hrs slow charge ?
Or are you confusing Hybrid with these ?
Why do you think charging points are only within towns not on highways in the west ?
oga we know the capacities of the batteries in those vehicles e.g the new tesla has between 60 to 100 kW battery capacity. how much is a kW? presently about 19 to 24 naira and a fully charged battery will go for more than 500km. the problem with ur forklift might be inefficiency as is often the case with old vehicles and devices.
