I don't know what to think again oooo. Buh in my opinion, i think it would be unfair to bring back post utme suddenly coz dis is totally unprecedented. If the point system is to be used this year i think more emphasis should be laid on utme score coz it's far credible than ssce 2017. They should let us know which is to be used asap to avoid unnecessary hullabaloo. BTW someone said they can use the point system and screen out dim-witted candidates using interview method. Any method they want to use, we will be waiting.

believe this rumours at your own peril, I doubt the plausibility of this news.

I can't risk wasting another year after all what Ui made me go through. My o level grades are c6 filled.
Can't just take the risk. Mallam Adamu is still the minister of education and his ban on postutme is still intact.
ui has nothing to do about it.

In this kind of sensitive situation, you don't just tell us your are sure, you give detailed explanation from a reliable source.

You saw a poster in the school?
You went to the admission office and was told?
You have friends or relatives who are in the system?

You guys need to tell us where you are getting your information from. After all UI issued a disclaimer some days back about fake cutoff marks and other malicious news being circulated online.

The attention of Management has been drawn to pieces of information purportedly issued by the University regarding cut-off points for courses as well as other unsubstantiated claims about the 2017/18 admission exercise. For the avoidance of doubt, Management wishes to inform all prospective applicants and the general public that the admission process in the University has not yet started. They are, therefore, advised to dismiss all such claims and be on the look-out for information on the commencement of the exercise.

Any candidate who transacts business with unscrupulous elements who are out to defraud them does so at his/her own risk.

Furthermore, candidates who applied for Pharmacy in the University are reminded to either change their course or Institution as the course is not on offer for the 2017/18 session.

The only authentic website of the University from which information on the admission exercise could be obtained is www.ui.edu.ng.

Please beware.

I think the news isn't really tho because ui cannot decide bow that they want to change back to post UTME when other schools are almost if not already done with screening, I heard kwara state uni had even released 1st list so why would ui just wake up and say they want to conduct a post UTME. Plus they can't tell me it's based on students performance saying not more than half students are performing well because if that's the case, you should go and see unilag students results and come back with testimonies. I know a lot of people in this group had read there butts out to secure a good UTME score and so on and a lot of people on this group should be above average. Plus ui has not even finished conducting their exams for 1st semester exams, so it's definitely not about students performance, what do you think? Also am not saying post UTME is a bad idea but if be the case, I have sha secured my admission there. Cc thehistorian Rursh engrbello CondomSir Ajet001 and others

Don't forget that OOU is conducting test for her applicants this month too. Jamb and FG can't do anything about that. And about Unilag, you can't be so sure now. Besides, post ume is better than this blind admission of point system.

Actually,we can't compare unilag academics level with UI(its like comparing kerosene with Acetylene)
you could see yourself that UNILAG accept less than 50 for some courses, whereas UI does not...it's all about maintaining a Standard Academics Level which Ui gives much preferences for.

issues of p.utme after some schools has already commence their screening is nothing....are we not here¿ when some schools started selling screening forms even when JAMB coc/coi is yet to be open then¡

Any University can decide on whatsoever they like,so far we still in Nigeria ( wherepolitics has ruined Main POW and EVERYTHINGER)
no one to control these schools even self the acclaimed Minister of Education is as corrupt asCIP founders.

I can't stop laughing because bringing back Putme doesn't mean students performances would improve and I believe the jamb and waec combo criteria is tougher than the Putme criteria

And incase you don't know it's most freshers get carried away with the Euphoria of getting into the university but unlike polytechnics you still have at least 3 years to correct that

And all those saying the student failed you mean they didn't perform well because they passed jamb and waec but didn't write UTME

So in the whole federation na for only UI freshers dey fail ?

Saying students failed because there was no PUTME is sham.

Before now you can get 200 in Jamb and still get MMBS but now ehn you no fit reason am
