auschris:

Avant pays for the NCLEX-RN registration process, EB-3 visas for you and your family (however, you pay the application fee of $345 per member of your family while they pay attorney fees), visascreen (only if you sign a contract during the promo period).
From the Shearwater contract I saw, they pay for everything (I'm not sure if they pay for family). Shearwater just started making inroads into the Nigerian market. I assume they will come with incentives to attract clients. Time will tell how consistent they will be.
I can't give an estimate on how how much it costs for the verification process because it depends on factors like how many schools you attended, the number of licenses you are validating, the nature of your school (some like money pass others and the speed of response varies).
For example, my wife's verification was done in less than 4 months (from the date I applied to CGFNS to the day the CES report was issued) and it did not cost more than 60k to get the whole process done, excluding the the fee for CES. I also know people that have been on the process for over a year and have sent just 1 transcript more than 5 times (may it not be your portion). You cannot quantify the material and emotional cost involved in the latter example.
I hope with this few points of mine, I have not left you more confused. I wish you success in your pursuits.
well said

Congratulations. Premium processing usually takes about 15 working days and if you have not heard anything so far it could be that you got an RFE (request for further evidence) letter from USCIS. The immigration attorney will take care of it.
Does the name of your immigration specialist begin with 'M'? She's very slow in responding to mails. It may be due to the workload.

Good morning great nurses, please I have a question concerning where to submit the license verification form from cgfns. Can I submit in Lagos or is it compulsory I take it to Abuja? I would appreciate anyone with information concerning this, because someone told me yesterday that nursing council has moved all their operations to Abuja since five years ago so I have to go to Abuja and I don't know if this is true. Thanks in anticipation.

well am happy for you , i encountered that too with avant and i was able to sort out that by mailing the person attached to my case as well as copying the person in charge of avant immigration , also my process for i140 took about a month to get approved , reasons best known to them, but bear in mind it can take long for premium process now because of work load at uscis ,also they might take a week to respond to your mail at avant because of the same work load , i hope this is helpful and will like to communicate with u as well .

I know avant don't pay for ielts and visascreen( but they pay when they are doing promo). Share with me those that pay for ielts and visascreen please

PassportUSA pays /reimbursesfor IELTS as well as visascreen.Just that to get signed by them is kinda complicated. You need to have CGFNS certificate.

Good work I see here. I salute the creator of this thread. Kudos to all the great contributors and the gurus in the house. I respect you all.

Please, I have few questions that bothers me. For someone who is married to a Registered Nurse in naija. What happens to the husband or wife if either of the partners is successful in any of the traveling applications. Will the partner also be allowed to enjoy the benefits of the EB-3 visa(green card) or only the carrier of the application stands to solely benefit apart from allowing the family to also travel.

Secondly, who has successfully completed the Canada process or in any stage of the application?. I want to know.

Lastly, I have a suggestion for the creator of this thread to consider creating a WhatsApp group for this thread. This will give room for a faster communication and sharing of ideas.

I'd to get responses from the gurus and masters in the house. Thanks.

When you have an application sent in at the uscis stage it's only yours. At the NVC stage, your dependents if any, spouse, children are asked to submit their civil documents.
So technically speaking, they get to enjoy the EB3 rights with you and you get to travel with them. You only get to pay back the cost of filing for them to your employer when you start working(depending on the company) that is if you didn't pay for these outrightly from your pocket during the process.

Simply put. The only addition is that your spouse won't need a visascreen certificate in the future (already a green card holder) , whenever she is ready to practice. Only nclex pass and licence will be OK for her to apply for a direct job without going through agency. You may remain silent about her side of the story until you immigrate.
