Egusi hasn't performed exceptional in the last 4 years so timing and pricing is essential to assure one of profit Exit price for me is 28k max. That's pessimistic but means I am taking less risk 1 Like |

All inquiries to info@farmsynergy.com I already have a whole lot of numbers with egusi so please use the email rather than call. You can text but still send a mail so I can follow the mail trail if need be. Thank you |

Kudos to you for a great job. Pls,can you state carefully commodity markets where these commodities can be bought. Kindly, state the market and state of location. Thanks |
Re: Agric/grains Commodity Purchase/storage by Olayimikami: 7:19pm On Aug 02, 2017 |
Chrismario: You can start with a bag or two. 50k, 100k whatever amount you have. Provided the commodity is available in your community and you are storing within proximity of the purchase location, profit can be made. You may need to identify the market dynamics of your locality as markets operate independent of each other |
Re: Agric/grains Commodity Purchase/storage by Olayimikami: 7:24pm On Aug 02, 2017 |
senny0001: I cannot possibly put up a comprehensive list of markets. If I know specify a commodity or a location, I may be able to suggest You have Dandume market in katsina Dawaki market in Bauchi Bokkos market in plateau Nasarawa market in nasarawa Andadha market in kaduna There are a lot of determining factors in arriving at a market of choice |

Re: Agric/grains Commodity Purchase/storage by Olayimikami: 6:14pm On Aug 11, 2017 |
salsera: Chilli pepper is not yet harvested in most areas, current prices however between 24k-35k depending on variety. |
Re: Agric/grains Commodity Purchase/storage by Olayimikami: 6:29pm On Aug 11, 2017 |
senny0001: White yam should be Takum in Taraba, zaki biam or ugba in benue or lokogoma and kokona in nasarawa. Egusi is definitely nasarawa toto, akwanga, doma, or ashangba in nasarawa, you will also get egusi in edo and benue Fresh pepper- I don't do perishables but northwest/central and south west should be your best bet Maize- kaduna, plateau, katsina and niger state. I had earlier listed some markets in those states. Palm oil- There is a thread on palm oil here, think Peeo is doing a great job with that. Akwa ibom, ebonyi, imo are likely locations. |

Nice work Mr. Olayimikami
Pls sir which commodity is being harvested now? |
Re: Agric/grains Commodity Purchase/storage by Olayimikami: 4:23am On Aug 15, 2017 |
EMMAACHILE: Except you are buying off the heaps, you may not get substantial quantity. From late september, harvest will kick in fully |
Re: Agric/grains Commodity Purchase/storage by Olayimikami: 4:30am On Aug 15, 2017 |
Rugga: Entry period is Oct-Dec. Price currently at 30-34k depending on the variety. Just like ginger, this produce had selective demand and price variation wasn't constant |

Jookab27: Egusi and groundnut |
Re: Agric/grains Commodity Purchase/storage by Jookab27: 10:33am On Aug 15, 2017 |
Olayimikami: Thanks sir. I really want to invest in it. Please how and where can I buy directly from farmers?I have a place to store it in the south west, but dont know how to preserve it. And is it possible to also buy and sell immediately? I really need your help sir. |
Re: Agric/grains Commodity Purchase/storage by Olayimikami: 1:28pm On Aug 15, 2017 |
Jookab27: The big question is "do you have a market for it?" You should also note that movement means your logistics cost goes up and if your market is different from where you store, you incur another set of cost for handling to the final destination How do you hope to compete with those that will move directly from farm store to the market if price differential is less than 20%? Egusi unpeeled needs not preservation however you will struggle to sell unprocessed egusi down south. Groundnut can be stored using pesticides at required volume and applying to withdrawal period. If the environment is well fumigated, groundnut can stay untreated for up to 6 months |

Olayimikami: Alright sir. So whats your advice sir? |

I found an agricultural cooperative called Releaf. What the Releaf cooperative does is that it connects good agribusinesses to genuine and trustworthy business partners (suppliers, buyers, etc). I recommend anyone into agric should join. emilex1000: Store unpeeled if storing outside abuja or buy peeled, move to abuja, store and sell off within 3 months. No need for preservation if properly aerated 1 Like 1 Share |
