I'm part of the lucky ones who got admitted without putme..but still I'd advise you peepu to read very hard...and stop arguin for n against the putme exams...jst read peepu..jst read..
God bless you for your sincerity, sir!

Now,This is someone who believes his admission wasn't hard-earned due to the obvious reason of Post UTME cancellation.

I'm very sure you secured admission last year which ofcourse you must have configured your mind towards sitting for Post UTME and all of a sudden, the unfortunate FG policy. Before the announcement, you probably must have being reading your ass out and burning night candles....lol

It's not like the adopted Point System does not allow for the admission of intellects but it does open a wide way for mediocres too.

I still don't see why students should keep writing exams upon exams jst cos of admission....other countries don't do that..they admit you based on your waec result..take Benin republic or Ghana fr exam.what if FG decided to adopt such method..wah will you guys be saying then?
First of All,I'd like you to stop drawing unreasonable comparison between Nigeria and other Countries. It makes no total sense to me.

Yes,We should keep writing exams upon exams because of the credibility loss of this WASSCE and UTME.In Some riverine states like Bayelsa(apologies for this),do you know Invigilators hardly visit the examination centres?...They'd rather put a call through to one of the teachers to come collect the examination questions and he/she would be told where to bring it to when they are done.

Truth is,Nigeria is a vast state and overhauling malpractice in a widely conducted examination will be very difficult or almost impossible.

Definitely,We have people who earned their WASSCE grades by their intellectual capability but unfortunately the number of those who earned theirs illegally(asking from friends, cheating, phone usage, teachers aid) outnumbers the credible ones.

Conducting a Post UTME is made easier because only the applicants will be tested as opposing the nationwide UTME and WASSCE.

Nd the funny thing is..those that are shouting fr post utme are the onces with low grades..they claim during "their time" waec runs wasn't known and also during that time they was post utme..nw my question is why didn't they gain admission then when post utme ws on since they all claim they're brilliant..jst cos it still didn't favour them after they cancelled post utme that's why most of them are crying fr the return of post utme(the same exam that made them stay at home fr years o)..Nigerians ehn..
Bro this is a lie, stop generalizing what you don't know, I got admitted through the Point System into UI in 2010. I can say it to any person even to UI's VC that the point system is bad. It does not give room for neutral ground. This JAMB and WAEC are external exams in which many things can be involved that was why Post UTME was invented. I have this friend that wanted to study Electrical and Electronic Engineering but he couldn't because of the point system, he later changed to a less competitive course after trying the 3rd time. Damola is a very brilliant guy he never had less than 260 in the 3 JAMBs he wrote, he was always close to the cutoff point. I am sure he will perform well in that department if not up to being a first class graduate. I advised him to pick another school but he wouldn't listen, I don't know who advertised UI to him, the person must have done a great job. I thank God he is happy with what he is doing. Using point system does not give room for neutral ground as so many people cheat in JAMB and WAEC, get the admission, then get withdrawn at the end of 100level preventing those who would have made good grades from getting admitted.

To those of you doubting postUTME, please don't. A lecturer has told me to get ready towards that.
It's by September so you still have time.

Anyone know where to get previous versions of previous UI post-UTMEs?

See the thing is i don't think anyone here is scared of post utme. The main thing is this is coming so suddenly and most of us are not prepared. So they should let us know which one they want to use to avoid all these. I sha pray that those clamouring for post utme will not have cause to lie about their scores on NL when it's out. Any method they want to use, people who will gain admission this year will do. Note; I'm indifferent about this whole thing. Just let me know what is going to be used.

I can't stop laughing because bringing back Putme doesn't mean students performances would improve and I believe the jamb and waec combo criteria is tougher than the Putme criteria

And incase you don't know it's most freshers get carried away with the Euphoria of getting into the university but unlike polytechnics you still have at least 3 years to correct that

And all those saying the student failed you mean they didn't perform well because they passed jamb and waec but didn't write UTME

So in the whole federation na for only UI freshers dey fail ?

Saying students failed because there was no PUTME is sham.

Before now you can get 200 in Jamb and still get MMBS but now ehn you no fit reason am

I still do not understand why people think the post Utme will make a diff and about the credibility of jamb baba oldfoolnigger I can bet this was the most credible jamb in 15 years
This might be the best jamb exam in 15 years...It would be fair enough if on jamb scores are used in giving admissions this year since we believed It was credible..Using waec as a criterion is totally absurb; Many people registered in miracle centres this year in order to have A1s....The hardworking ones will definitely suffer...Those who think they are brilliant enough and have good grades shouldn't be afraid at all if they got those grades themselves..Shady admissions is another issue entirely.

Bro the news about Post UTME is not coming too sudden trust me. At least you have like a month to prepare if UI will eventually write Post UTME. In 2011, point system was used as usual, people who meet the cut off point were invited, they taught it was the normal interview, it was when they got to UI they knew they will be writing Post UTME come and see drama. They wrote the exam and UI was transparent enough to publish everybody's score online going by the department a candidate applied to, see scores, my dad had to print all the scores for Medicine and Surgery. I could not weep for 282, 7 As candidate scoring 30%. Chai!

UI does not publish its PostUTME past questions.I wrote the PostUTME in 2015 and we all submitted our answer sheets with the questions. The reason for this might not be far from ease of repeating questions years after years.

After the PostUTME registration in 2015,A link to download a sets of practice questions was published on everyone's admission portal which gave an insight to us then on how the questions will be like.

The lucky I used there is relative, I'm a Uite already...You can say I was lucky n I won't be offended but some would be..I read for both Waec n Neco took Jamb n passed well..I personally worked for my admission n God blessed my efforts... On the issue of failure,With or without putme ,peepu would still fail..failure isn't a product of point system there are many oda factors...

Honestly,The argument that students wasn't prior informed of this development before-hand holds no water to me.

Students should be ever ready to put their intellectual prowess to test.To buttress my point,It's just two months after the UTME examination, have they discarded all what they read?

Fortunately, this rumour is even coming early.Everyone should go dust their neglected books abeg!
