So I bought the new mold. It stained the soap. Honestly I need help with this mold issue

Did you use a liner i.e. Parchment papers? My sister got me a mold like that just yesterday. I'm yet to use it. Don't know if parchment paper will help. Cc CosmeticChemist

I placed leather on the bottom, it's the sides of each box that's the problem. lining all the sides of each box is not going to be easy.

Crude PKO and PO. I bleach the PO and blend the two...

I made some soap today.. I used unrefined pko..... The color was earthbrown..

You can line your mold with a nylon. I no longer use nylon.. my mold doesn't react with metals..

I used what we call soap dish as the mould. You can get them anywhere they sell plastics

No nylon. Once the surface is hard, i unmould it. Sometimes, it takes between 3 to 8 hours

This is good. I have similar stuff i made for a client. I used hard wood and not plywood. the wood you used is not good as water will spoil it...

When lime and soda ash combine in a classic metathesis reaction, they produce lye, or sodium hydroxide. Lye combines the solubility of soda ash with the strong alkalinity of lime. We will need this combination of strength and solubility when we make soap.

we all know soda ash is the same as Sodium carbonate, Na₂CO₃.

Now !.. tell me, of what use it is, if we make soap with soda ash without lime ?.. the reaction isn't complete... it will be a complete waste... I might be wrong though. One article I read online talks about soda ash being a water softener.. if you live in places with hard water, the idea of using soda ash is OK.
