leyemok:Yes good enough but why can't you stay in U.S till the next conference makes no sense flying up and down within 3 weeks. |
Re: U.S Visit: Port Of Entry Interview/stories. by leyemok(m): 10:08pm On Jul 30, 2017 |
seyewest:Yea but I just want to be on the safe side. You think it's cool to stay for the sept conference and that won't raise any issues sir? |

leyemok:it makes so much sense financially, safety wise and the right thing to do...so far your firm is okay with it instead of traveling up and down like rabbit |

melochic:hope you don't have luggage because sometimes your excess luggage maybe more expensive than your plane ticket. |

Re: U.S Visit: Port Of Entry Interview/stories. by seyewest(m): 10:15am On Jul 31, 2017 |
leyemok: NormallyYour stay is for 6 months (Unless the CBP officer decide otherwise) even if you came for just 3 days visa...if you're okay with traveling between Nigeria and U.S twice within less than 30 days fine. |

Good day everyone. Thanks for this enlightening thread. We (wife, kid and I) will be travelling to the U.S next month and it's our first visit to America. Our application stated Noth Carolina as destination but tickets are so expensive this summer that we decided to book a flight by Air france to Indianapolis and intend to get a domestic flight or Bus from Indiana to North Carolina the same week. We have booked to stay in a hotel In Indiana for 6days and another 6 in north Carolina. i dont know if coming though indiana would be a problem for us since we are just coming for a family vacation . our flight is from Naija to France to Atlanta then to Indiana . anybody with Atlanta POE experience help a brother !!!!!! |
Re: U.S Visit: Port Of Entry Interview/stories. by seyewest(m): 3:35pm On Aug 01, 2017 |
Owolarbie:Chai this flight route is gonna be fun and there won't be any problem in Atlanta just remember what you filled in your ds160 I wish you the best and please keep us posted when you get to U.S by posting your POE Experience... One more thing I think it will be cheaper flying into Chicago which is nearer to Indiana and leaving U.S from Atlanta or Washington it won't be really expensive to the actual amount you paid for the whole flight from Nigeria to Atlanta maybe $150 more. 2 Likes |

Why Indianapolis? Atlanta and Washington are much closer to North Carolina, than Indianapolis. You can just get bus to your destination from Atlanta. Flying domestic to NC from ATL will be much cheaper and easier than Indianapolis. Owolarbie: |

Owolarbie:Can you call Airfrance and ask if you can take off from New york instead of Indiana... Atlanta POE is cool that's Delta Airline Hub and remember there's a direct flight from Lagos to Atlanta. Don't worry everything will be fine. |

Re: U.S Visit: Port Of Entry Interview/stories. by Owolarbie(m): 9:26pm On Aug 02, 2017 |
watlat4sure: no its just me , wifey and my 2 year old son for 1.750.. i got that through an IATA - Travel Agent .. with IATA they can bargain with the airline direct eg . our flight to North Carolina is 2,7 for the 3 of us on the website of British airline but with the agent with IATA he bargained for 2.2million it depends on the present people online booking at that present moment . our flight with Air France was 2.4 then he bargained for 1.750 . |
Re: U.S Visit: Port Of Entry Interview/stories. by seyewest(m): 9:48pm On Aug 02, 2017 |
Owolarbie:Bros don't let them deceive you with bargaining... your flight is very expensive.. I will get that for less than 1.4m with the best connection.. Your inbound flight will land in Chicago and fly from Atlanta or New York. That flight is expensive the only thing I hope is that you can make changes free of charge if not... e no make sense... Go on google and check your route and the price against what the agent charged you. 1 Like |

Bawo4199:$1000 will not be enough for a family of 5 except you have no plan to do anything except eat and stay in the hotel... About your look, is your picture in the passport data page and visa page? if it's yours why are you worried? We all know original cloths are cheaper in U.S than Nigeria but it's your decision to buy those things for him. Please keep us posted when you get to U.S and safe journey to U.S |

Pls house don't mind my too many questions, I read somewhere that the immigration officers at MMA might decide to frustrate a first time traveller even make d person miss his flight, some terrible tales. Pls is the situation still same or its better now, nd also any advice for a first time traveler on how to handle the officers. Thanks. |

If possible, go through Abuja; maybe because its the capital, they don't do all that nonsense, only disadvantage is that international carriers are less in Abuja than in Lagos. PHOOMI: 3 Likes 1 Share |
