I get confused too. But I think it works in two different ways tho. First: when your CRS score is lower than 400 and you are in the pool you can get nominated by generous provinces I.e Ontario without even applying to them. Secondly: while still in the pool, you can check out for when provinces open up for people to apply. Although you will pay application fee for example Saskatchewan province it is usually $250 CAD. Note in the first scenario you do not pay any application fee. The reason you may want to go through the second option is because no matter what you do, you might be unable to increase your CRS above 400 in this case, 40 years and above with the maximum point of 45 for age will definitely be needing a province nomination. Mindful that when you get a PN, your CRS will get an addition of 600 points which when you accept you will then get an ITA under PNP route. All the same since eventually you will get your PR but PNP application fee is more this is why people prefers the normal ITA without having a PN. I hope I have been able to convince you not to confuse lol. Pls read more on the thread. Peace. Saintp: 6 Likes |

funshobabs: You've actually mixed up the entire process. First off, while creating an EE profile, the applicant must select all provinces or any particular province that he/she might be interested in getting a nomination from. For Ontario, they would usually select candidates with CRS scores of 400 and above who are in the pool and have recently created their profiles. However, in the last week of June, they lowered their requirement and selected candidates (with particular NOCs in IT professions) that scored below 400. Ontario PNP fee is CAD 1,500. You may wish to research about other provinces that open up their Provincial Nomination streams from time to time where candidates can apply for nominations if meeting their requirements. Nomination fees may also apply. I hope this clarifies. Good luck. 9 Likes |

elfmann: The U.K. one Went to WES. My Canadian wasn't awarded. Part of the reason I'm going back for grad and applying for an award from my Uni. So even if I tell CIC I have a Canadian education, I can't claim points on it coz I don't have the certificate yet. |
