ysmd: yeah, I just don't understand the mail thing. was going to ask you about your marriage certificate issue. my discrepancy is on the job title on my marriage certificate. called someone who says it can be corrected and the certificate ready issued. however I'm planning on swearing affidavit and getting it acknowledged by the local govt before embarking on such. |

In similar situation, no placeholder was available for him to upload medicals so we did not do for him but we paid all visa fees. But I am thinking we should not have paid too but was included in the fee calculation thrown up for payment. Hopefully it will be refunded. Ehiobe: |

Saintp: Provincial Nominations work differently depending on the province. The end result is that they all award 600 points to the nominated candidate in order to have sufficient points to receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for PR visa. In addition, u DON'T get nominated without first applying for it and paying the relevant fee. Because each province has structured their nomination process and criteria differently, You will have to check the individual province's website to know their requirements and how each works. While some are open from time to time for you to submit an application, others (Ontario for example) have to express and interest in you (based on meeting specific requirements peculiar to them) before you can submit an application for nomination. Some require a job offer to qualify while others don't. It simply just depends on the province. I hope this clarifies it. 2 Likes |

HELP! HELP!! HELP!!! Please while registering for IELTS with British Council, where I am supposed to input "given names", I input only one name instead of two as it appears in my int'l passport and I have submitted the application. Gotten an acknowledgment and I was addressed as Dear Mr Sunday Tayo instead of "Dear Mr Sunday Wale Tayo" (names not real though). Can I still go ahead and make payment? So all the names British Council has is just my surname & first name but the name in my int'l passport under "given names" are two names. Am I safe to make payment? Hope it won't affect me in any ways in the future on EE platform? What can I do? Please advise me so I can make payment for IELTS or otherwise? Thank you all |

billy:On that given names field, you input ur first and middle names there.. As they are on ur passport. Now, u have to tell them on ur Speaking test day and u would be given a correction form, fill it out and ur supposed Wale would be added. 3 Likes |

Thanks to all you lovely people for the congratulatory messages, I know we will all testify soonest whether it's awaiting IELTS, awaiting AOR or PPR. To all those worried about their submitted application or anything, don't worry and just leave all to God. I thought my application was messy and I scaled through with no ADR, nothing! 1. A bulk of my money entered my account after I got my ITA but I did not do gift deed or write any letter explaining the source of funds (timeline btw my ITA and AOR was about 3 weeks) 2. I only put the first page of each of my 6 month statement leaving all other pages behind (I did not quickly realize I could reduce it) 3. I did not write any LOE, did not attach any additional document or justify anything at all 4. My name is sometimes scattered. Like I'm known by d 2nd name in my passport so some of my documents only had my 2nd name and surname without the first name on my passport (I was advised to get an affidavit justifying this but I never did) 5. Although I had a valid US visa as at the time I applied, I was rejected about 7 years ago and I forgot to state it in my application. 6. I was in UK on vacation when I did and got my UK PC, I was later told that I should have done it after leaving the country and to urgently raise CSE which I never did 7. Plenty other things I thought were issues but can't state all now. This is for those that have submitted and are worried about one thing or the other. If you haven't submitted, PLEASE DON'T BE LIKE ME! I don't know why I was so stubborn, it wud save you a whole lot of worry knowing your application is detailed when it's in progress! In my excitement I forgot to write my timeline. Type of Applicant: Single Applicant ITA: May 4 AOR: May 26 Medicals passed: July 1 IP1: July 1 NA2: July 5 IP2: August 2 PPR: August 5 Congrats to all my PPRpeople, passport stamped peeps and a big future congrats to all my peeps waiting to testify- WE SHALL ALL TESTIFY! 40 Likes 5 Shares |
