Costa case has already been decided since January between the club, his agent and the coach. All those ones na formalities

Moses and Alonso are hardly defensive flankers, they are much more attack oriented in our setup. Hazard who has been out for a while now brings a lot of quality to that forward line and he has been sorely missed. The triumvirate of Pedro, Morata and Hazard looks good on paper and is yet to be tried out. So i won't bother myself about Costa, atleast for now.

When i said Conte was wrong in the manner he handled the Costa issue many people here were up in arms, apparently salivating at the chance of getting "Mr First Touch". Now i am seeing posts like "please who can help us beg Costa?".

Una never see anything. This team as presently constituted will struggle to score goals as long as Hazard is not playing and the goals are not even guaranteed when he gets back if Mr First Touch and the highly unproductive Willian are the ones complementing him.

The 3-4-3 Conte is using is not the fundemental problem, rather it is the personnel being employed to implement it. This can be deduced from the fact that you guys have struggled against other big teams that have employed the same formation or variants of it e.g Arsenal, Spurs and United.
These teams have players better suited to the formation especially in the key areas of central midfield and wingback.

You have a point up there but then taking good attacking positions isn't an entirely bad idea for a team who are looking to tear you apart.

With players who are constantly positioned in wide areas, a team achieves two things:

1. Stretches the pitch to its limit
2. Creates plenty of room for passing in the midfield.

Alonso and Pedro's run are essential in many ways.

I believe its much more easier to deal with ball carriers than runners.

A 3-5-2 is a system that would benefit every ninja in our team. Luiz and co can play their game, Cesc would have little defensive duties to worry about, Morata would get the chance to link up with a man up-front.

It is one hell of a flexible system that addresses the weakness of a 3-4-3.

True, but when you don't have anybody to pass the ball to them, that's when we are in trouble.

Hazard was the one knitting the play for us in the final third. He will come deep to collect the ball and then deliver it up top.

Of course it also helped that we had Costa as well to hold up the ball and let the runners fund space.

Now that we don't have a target man, and we don't have Hazard, our 343 system looks really wack. Like you I think the 352 is the one. We can have the centre mids surging up to join the attack duo if needed with Fab at the base spraying passes
