bagger293:Of course newer midrangers are better, because of better support, GPU, and a superior manufacturing process in the case of the s625. Its like comparing a Toyota corolla 2016 to a Benz 200. 1 Like |

kannymoore:Both are official, but since you are on stable, download the first one, which is stable rom. To flash via recovery : After downloading the rom, copy it into the Internal memory of your device in a folder you should name ' downloaded_rom'. Then go to the updater app, touch the three dots on the top right of your screen, then click on choose update package, select the folder 'downloaded_rom', tap the rom and your phone will be flashed. Note : This might take up to 15 mins, don't stop the process until your phone boots to the main screen. Also, ensure you have upto 50% of battery juice before starting. If I were you, I would save a copy of the rom after downloading, might be useful in case of any bug. 3 Likes 3 Shares |

For the who wish to backup their text messages (SMS) in case they lose their phone or buy a new phone, you can use SMS Backup+. It's available on playstore. You link it to your Gmail Account. It backs up your SMS as soon as they come in (you can determine how soon you want it to do that) And when you get a new phone, you can just restore the SMS from your Gmail account using the same app. You will find the SMS in your Gmail account under "Labels". Edit: The App doesn't ask you for your Gmail password. 1 Share

eleojo23: Nice... but, I wouldn't want a third-party app to have access to my email account. |
Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by eleojo23: 11:50am On Aug 07, 2017 |
GrandMufti: Yeah...you could link it to an unofficial email...the one that you don't use for serious stuff... Or it could just be for one-time use and then you change your gmail password And by the way, it doesn't need your Gmail Password |
