Good morning fellow farmers. My birds are 3months in laying and presently doing poorly. The are 2100 in numbers. The got to 53 crates and started decending now the are giving BTW 43/44/. The are physically healthy And very active. The eat and drink accordingly and have been giving their full vaccination @ appropriate time. The birds are divided into 1050 per room. A and B. The birds in room A got to 23 crates and stopped now the are giving 20 crates sometimes less. the second 1050 got to 31 crates and went down to 23 crates within 10 days.. They both have been dewormed , boasted , eat the same food ..even though the consumption of room A is a little slow compared to that of room B. In summary I have 2100 bird, physically healthy ,3 months old in laying, production 62%, deep liter, zartech breed, hybrid feeds, 10 bags per day, location jos. Pls how can I improve my birds performance. Thanks in anticipation of a prompt response. Pls expert in the house, i await ur kind response. Thank you. can any expert comment pls. |

bigthingz:How ventilated/illuminated is their pen house When was the last time you dewormed/deloused them? What drug(s) did you use and how was it administered? Do you trust your farm hands to the point of No Pilfering/Theft? How about Lasota? Are they drinking enough clean water? Your answers will guide us to restore your production. Best Wishes! 1 Like |

Dimejimichael:Stop multi vitamins immediately, get embarzin forte or dicox as suggested above. Treat urgently. If you can lay your hands on bitter leaf or pawpaw leaf this night, put in their water before you lay your hands on the drugs tomorrow. 1 Like |

EMMAACHILE: Pls how do you use bitterleaf nd pawpaw leaf, wat is it meant for? Do you boil before giving or they eat them raw?? |
Re: Starting A Poultry Farm (a Blog) by Nobody: 1:53am On Aug 07, 2017 |
blesyntee:Squeeze it raw in water. I am currently using it on my three broilers and its very effective. Either of the leafs or combination of it is potent enough to prevent your chicks from being infected. Some people prefer to dry and grind pawpaw leaves in their feed. 1 Like |

Hello my people... I am stocking 500 layers by November and I am working on some options and deep litter seem best for me but would like some advise. My research shows that if you feed you layers well and give them the right condition and drugs you will get almost the same result as the battery cage option. Pls advice me cause I am settling for deep litter. Thanks. |
