pazienza:I am particularly interested in the free meal in public schools. Just so you know Anambra pupils are enjoying free meals with its attendant multiplier effect trickling down the state. I am even aware that many parents who do not have hope of a day's meal are taking the advantage. Take a good look at your kids eating the foods of your enemies 9 Likes 1 Share

Chai I have been avoiding this thread. Its so revealing. But not surprised at all, I've always known Igbos tendency to rejoice at other people's low. I think the Yorubas should just forget about the center for now and focus on the southwest. With the recent attacks on Awolowo by north I sense jealousy. I also sense a coalition between Hausa and Igbo to send Yoruba's back to the opposition by 2019. It is time for Tinubu's clan to start focussing on human development rather than just creating wealth. It is very humiliating when the Igbos make claims like we own 90% land in Lagos, we contribute 80% to Lagos GDP etc.. 9 Likes 1 Share |

stonemasonn: 1. Yorubas have always excelled in opposition. This is something the Hausas and Igbos can NEVER survive. Throw them out of power, they'll start causing trouble like Boko and ipob. 2. If the Igbos decide to go into an alliance with the north, it would backfire as the SE has no patience, tact or tolerance to handle people of a different religion or tribe. Even within themselves, they discriminate against themselves and look down on fellow Igbos. 3. Igbos don't own nada in Lagos. They are renowned for illiterate claims as to phantom wealth which they engage in to cover their inherent inferiority complex. 4. Economically, all Igbos contribute to the SW is just the negligible taxes which they're forced and hammered to pay. Hausas supply food and labour, other ethnicities supply other things, only Igbos take away. 5. Even in the area of taxes, the places occupied by Igbos pay the least taxes. If you have contacts at the State Revenue Board in Lagos, you can confirm this. This civic criminality and irresponsibility of Igbos is repeated at the five SE states where their combined IGR is less than that of Kano state. 6. The North also can't do without yorubaland. That is why Dangote from Kano has his headquarters and biggest investments in Lagos. However, unlike garrulous Igbos, they mind their businesses. 27 Likes 2 Shares |

Charles Darwin postulated that human beings evolved from monkeys. Lots of Igbos sold their relatives and families off during the slave trade. In fact, a chunk of slaves sent to Europe and the Americas were Igbos. Charles Darwin must have observed the Igbos he came across to arrive at this conclusion. gberra: I actually believe they existed before Adam. If you think I'm lying, consider thess points below: 1. Gorillas, chimpanzees, monkeys and bonobos were created before man. 2. Some of these animals exhibit characteristics similar to iPod yoots e.g chestbeating and settling disputes by physical violence instead of dialogue (note that only humans talk but when an animal evolves, his base animal instinct takes over in times of crisis) 3. Charles darwin in his evolution theory opined that man evolved from monkeys. 4. No single iPod man has ever been able to state exactly where they came from or traced their creation. 5. The average iPod yoot has a striking resemblance with the bonobo monkey due to the flat head and big nose. The behavior of ipod yoots on Nairaland here lends credence to the facts above. 11 Likes 1 Share

felicitywe:Waheed is owing you for 4 years and you are still looking at him? Haba!! Why can't you drive him out of the house? Or is it not your property, again? Quantify the amount you have lost in terms of naira and kobo, by letting him continue to stay in your house without paying a dime. You are not a true Igbo person. A real nwafor would have kicked him to the kerb, brought in another tenant and collected 2 years rent, upfront! Chikena! Dis your story get as e be, sha.... I read about the Ironsi regime in 1966 Their efforts nonetheless, there were insinuations that Ironsi had become hostage to a secret set of advisers whosome alleged were mostly Igbo. Among them were Francis Nwokedi, a former permanent secretary in the Ministry of External Affairs; Pius Okigbo, who advised him on economic matters, and Lt. Col Patrick Anwunah. Ironsi, on May 24, made a nationwide broadcast affirming the Unification Decree a move that quickly led to riots across many parts of Northern Nigeria. About the same time, despite a moratorium on promotions, the military announced the promotion of 25 military officers mostly of the ranks of Major and Lt. Cols. Of the 25, 19 were either Igbo or Midwesterners; five were from the North, and one was Yoruba. Properly interrogated, the promotions were seen to be deserving to all, but it was believed to be another image disaster for the Ironsi regime as it portrayed the new regime as trying to consolidate on the Igbo gains from the January 15 coup. http://allafrica.com/stories/201607290903.html 7 Likes 2 Shares |
