Sometimes the process of application causes it

MrKong:

That submission can never be successful grin

See dis one claiming to be 'God'. SMH

I can see a high level of immaturity here. Some need to be reminded dat the fact that they applied for d graduate trainee position doesn't make them toddlers.

As for d arguement on clicking submit or not, it's logical 2 conclude dat d system automatically submits for u when u run outta time. It has always been d practice so dis should b put to rest.

For d pending submission thingy, I'm personally optimistic dat they would b called for their test. Doing a rough calculation, I don't think they've called up to 20,000 for the test. Most people doubting dis will come back here to swallow their words.

And to those feeling on top of the world cos some weren't invited or some having their status pending, u need to b reminded dat very few of d applicants will be employed. Just start praying and wish people goodluck to be successful not only in d DPR recruitment exercise but in life generally.

I represent team EH pending submission. I pray for dis job. I however know dat God is d master planner who decides over the affairs of men. If He says no, who I be? Life goes on! Always thankful to Him for His mercy. I presently work with an FG agency after doing almost a decade in d banking sector but then, it's human to aim higher.

Finally, on whether it's gonna b merit based on not. Certainly, some will get the job based on connection. It has always happened and will continue to happen yet a good number, possibly more than 50% will get it on merit. (Reference: last NNPC and DPR recruitment)

Wish y'all success.

What is it with whatsapp group here and there? Can't information be shared here? I wonder when people will change this mindset......This platform can support thousands of applicant at a time while whatsapp is limited. I just pity the gullible ones dropping their numbers......

'what I do' because am not understanding.
Is there anything we have in common that warrant such?
Even if it's pending successful application like some other people, I will still be fine
But an outright rejection is what I don't get
really I was devastated because it was showing pending successful before. I sent email too

yes, surprised

Me surprised like undecided

Me the thing is even after mine showed application completed... and later changed from pending successful submission to Approved and me traveling from one state to another to take the test.. I didn't put 100% hope in it... so whatever my expectations are, I won't regret when DPR does all the halibaloo and man know man finish..
It's not easy but trust me, the first year of working with dpr will be worth the wait and jibirish we posting out here....

Peace to everyone from those who made it through the first stage and those hoping to make it through... DPR fit control their office but God controls all....

LAGOS — A proposal by the Federal Government to expend an annual average of N27 million on each staff of the Department of Petroleum Resources, DPR, as personnel cost caused a stir at the National Assembly, yesterday.
Minister of Petroleum Resources, Mrs. Diezani Allison-Madueke, who led the DPR team and other agencies of the Ministry of Petroleum to the Senate defence hearing, however, assured that the government in a bid to curtail the burgeoning personnel cost was set to embark on a rationalization of its staff and agencies.
An estimated N30 billion of a total budget of N35 billion proposed for the DPR is earmarked for the department’s 1,100 staff.
A breakdown of the budget presentation tabled before the six committees of the National Assembly showed that of DPR’s N35, 997,149,841 budget, capital expenditure is only N4,786,302,790 while N31,210,847,051 will go to personnel costs and overheads. The budget estimate also indicated that personnel costs for DPR in 2012 is put at N30,399,182,331 while the remaining N811,664,720 is for overhead costs.

Wow, for 1100 staff... 31 billion

DPR is one of the best places to work in Nigeria. some staffers like HSE officers, petroleum engineering guys and so on go offshore and when they're there, the host company pay them allowances and DPR still pay them allowances. Housing allowances are paid- over 2million for entry level.Feeding allowance and so on.

training and travelling opportunities abound as long as you're a staff and no lazy staff. all very smart with intelligent management, superintending them. its even better working at DPR than some IOC's

yes bro and the last recruitment they took less than 100 staffers. that's why it was very unprofessional for the chaps who were sharing questions and answers here. you're jeopardizing your. chances to be honest.

y'all see why everyone wants to work at DPR? and this new recruits will definitely resume within this fiscal year. The new intakes have already been budgeted for. take a look at the increase in budget for 2017 as compared to 2016.

for those who have pending successful application. be hopeful, you'll still be called by God's grace. don't loose hope. o really wish you the best.

For those rejected go back to the job criteria and see if you fell short in Anyways, either age wise or so... if you have no fault, then still have a string of hope as I heard some of such persons are still being considered alongside the pending successful application. I pray you guys get a message from them soon. please be encouraged.
