I do not buy the Fulani Commissioner of Police's version of events. He finished his investigation in record time and just a few minutes after the event he told us that those behind the attack were Igbos that were involved in a communal struggle which has its roots in South Africa.

I smell a rat here and I suspect that the government is trying to cover up the truth.
Until they show me the evidence I remain skeptical about the Commissioner's assertion.

It is of utmost importance that there should be no reprisal attacks in the form of ethnic pogroms or in any garb whatsoever. This may be just what the perpetrators are seeking. It would have terrible consequences

The security forces must be on top of their game and urge the people not to take laws into their own hands.

Ability to arrest and punish the the actual culprits would go a long way in healing the bitterness or fear of dread in peoples hearts.

There's an elder where I work and he told me his own assembly was the Sunday that just passed.

Though we are in separate congregations, we do many times share the same as we are in the same circuit.

It was when I didn't see anyone from my congregation, I knew I had missed road .

It was made worse when I saw a couple during the break who formerly in our congregation and who were so overjoyed to see me. I told them we were all around and were too excited hearing that!

Once I realised my gaffe, I dodged them completely throughout the rest of the day.

The elder who works in the same office as mine brought food but I did not go eat with his family as I was terrified of meeting you know who.

It was the first assembly I haven't eaten with a family for a very long time. I never used to eat with anyone until a brother introduced me to the joy of eating with families. At times, I deliberately eat with newly wed couples to make them happy.
