Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti state has revealed that he was actually blocked from visiting ailing President Muhammadu Buhari who has been in London since May 7.

Some governors recently visited the president in London, but Fayose’s name was omitted from the list with the presidency giving reason for it.

Fayose reportedly spoke while presenting a welcome address at an all-inclusive meeting of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) with other political parties at Ibadan Civic Centre, Agodi Gate, Oyo state on Monday, August 7.

Fayose said he was barred because of his insistence that a sick person who has little or no strength cannot govern Nigeria.

According to Fayose, since President Buhari has refused to return to Nigeria or step down, he should appointed the minister of foreign affairs in London.

The governor said: “Why did they not take me to London. Why didn’t they take me there?

“They obviously knew very well that I would listen to the man and know whether his voice is clear or not. Then, I would be able to tell Nigerians the truth.

“Leadership must come with a certain measure of strength. If you don’t have strength, how can you govern the country?

“So, we need a president that is hale and hearty.

“If our president doesn’t want to go, let him become the minister of Foreign Affairs in London. These are statements of fact.”

I just don't know how Nigerian citizens are comfortable with an absentia ailing president...those advising this man not to resign are not doing him any good,there are just after their own clinche and the country Is not getting any better as orders perceived as not being from the president are being flouted
