Good evening doctors in the house. Please a male friend of mine in recent weeks has been loosing appetite thus causing him to lose weight. Please what drug can he take to stimulate his appetite for food. Note he is also taking a herbal drug for waist pain he has been battling for a while now or is the loss of appetite due to the herbal medicine?.. What drug and dosage can he take. Thanks. Note he is healthy just the not eating issue

Babes, biko advise him to quit the herbal mixture already. Let him see a doctor for proper care. Sometimes, we overdose on herbs or even use the wrong ones. It is well...life is too short to court wahala.

Pls Doctor in the house. I have been feeling some how lately which I don't know how; 1 weakness/fatigue. 2. while feeling weak my vision seems blur but not actually blur. 3 my body will be shaking mildly and I have slightly headache.
Though I have treated malaria with QUATEM. but I still feel like this most especially when I do just a little work or walk.

Re: Doctor in the House: Free Medical Advice Available by Bluchic: 1:59pm On Jul 31, 2017
Hello Dr, wondering if you can be of help as I have gone to several hospitals and all I get is pain relieve. This is my history. I had ectopic pregnancy June 2015, after the surgery I woke up to a tough migraine then neck pain. I was given pain killers and it became an irregular migraine visit.
While recovering I got the implanon birth control and I believe it was good on me except for the continous spotting I get and bleeding gum when I brush.
April 2016, my daily routine became busier. I started getting really tired then dizzy, nauseous, and the migraine came back full force. I was going through the heat of a breaking marriage at that time so I put it all down to stress.
However, few months later things got fine with my marriage and these symptoms won't stop so I decided to remove the implanon birth control.
2 months after the removal, my period went back to normal immediately but I still have all the other symptoms. It's worse because I had about 4 boils in different parts at different times within a week after the removal of implanon but they went on their own. I then used ampiclox because I believe my system must have been invaded by bacteria. Few weeks after the treatment, I started having itchy vaginal (I have not experienced such in over 5 years) I didn't want to go the antibiotics path again so I tried oil of oregano, didn't notice any improvement. So I inserted garlic for 2 days which seems to have taken care of the itch. However, i have been taking vitamin b12 has i read somwhere that it helps if its a neuropathic symptoms. And I feel it has helped but not totally healed. I still get heat like feeling on my palms and feet during the nights, I feel pain in my center chest bone. Could I have typhoid and neuropathy? No more migraine or dizziness but my health has been disturbed since I woke from that surgery in 2015.

Had blood tests more than 6 times since July 2016, everything came back good, had CT head scan, ECG and that was good too.

I have recently started taking calcium, magnesium and vitamin D supplements has I wasn't before. I skip sometimes.

I have been trying to research holistic or natural remedy to my situation but I found this page. Hopefully someone chimes in who has had this in the past or doctor. Thanks and sorry for the epistle

Mademoiselle, taking it from down -up, I really dont see any reason for the magnesium and calcitabs, did you do an EUCR? No?
As per the other ish, removal of implanon leaves your body with a hormonal imbalance , it thus struggles to catch up and maintain a new balance. This can explain the boils and the itch down there. Sometimes you experience pain during sex, its all part of the complex.
Can you describe the location (on ur head) of the migraines and the feelings that preceded it?
I could easily pass the bolded off as you being a hypochondriac. You don't have typhoid and neuropathy is a long shot.
Re: Doctor in the House: Free Medical Advice Available by Nobody: 3:24pm On Aug 08, 2017
@roselok, no worries.
@abduldope, this is suggestive of urethral stricture from one of a few possible causes including previous sexual or urinary infections(esp poorly treated), injury to the urethra( internal part of the penis ) , even unnoticed minor injuries that heal with a scar. You should see a urologist as if this is confirmed , the definite treatment may be a surgical procedure to take out the stricture

A Gleason score of 6 is actually the best a patient can hope for. Since it's not highly infiltrative, I would suggest surgical approach. Though it should be pointed out that some school of thought suggest active surveillance. I'd say just get the damn thing out.

@tobbielessbabe, some say felvin makes the menses messy. It's also known to trigger ulcers. There however are a range of pain killers you can use if one gives you the chills.
@kristen12, drugs for hypothyroidism are prescription pills and so you would still need to visit a doctor to get rhr prescription. Yes it's treatable.

Could be an asymptomatic pharyngeal pouch , or could just be a simple halitosis esp if you have deep furrows at the back of your tongue which sometimes ur tooth brush doesn't get to. In some instances too, diet plays a role, esp if you take a lot of fatty foods and veggies at night.
You may want to see a dentist though, or an ENT surgeon if ur convinced about your oral hygiene

I suggested scabies cos of the symptoms described. Most of our labs don't run a test for scabies, the diagnosis is usually after examination by the doctor. So I would advice for a proper evaluation.

I wish it is that simple. Everytime I visit the DR I get referred to see a neurologist. My symptoms are somwhat similar to that of pheripheral neuropathy but I am avoiding these hospitals because almost everyone I know gets worse after visiting hospital over here and they charge an arm. My feet gets cold even in hot weather sometimes. Right now my palm and feet feels like I have rubbed pepper on them and this happens in evening till I wake the next day. This is accompanied by pain to my neck and apparently this calls for migraine, mostly left side of my head and it hurts my left ear too. I am sick but how funny nobody will believe until there is a major breakdown. Please help me to research my symptoms and I will really appreciate this. If this helps, my period cycle has been shortened from 28 days to 23-25 days since i got off the implanon 8months ago. Sorry TMI but its also been darker shade as oppose bright red. Thanks
