They will be filled and vehicle will receive another round of primer. It is a continuous cycle until I can't find any spots on the car. Painter is very unhappy with me

Started following this thread, and I will read it till the very end. Gazzuzz, I believe your passion and love for smooth driveability, comfortability and car maintenance is 2nd to none, I haven't seen a 'mech' as detailed, meticulous yet having space for timed gestures. Global Positioning System tracking is a method of working out exactly where something is. A GPS tracking system, for example, may be placed in a vehicle, on a cell phone, or on special GPS devices, which can either be a fixed or portable unit.  GPS works by providing information on exact location. It can also track the movement of a vehicle or person. So, for example, a GPS tracking system can be used by a company to monitor the route and progress of a delivery truck, and by parents to check on the location of their child, or even to monitor high-valued assets in transit.



A GPS tracking system uses the Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) network. This network incorporates a range of satellites that use microwave signals that are transmitted to GPS devices to give information on location, vehicle speed, time and direction. So, a GPS tracking system can potentially give both real-time and historic navigation data on any kind of journey.

Update: installing installing tracking device.

A tracking device is just like a phone connected to a car charger and hidden out of plane sight.

Any time you want info on where the phone is, you send a message to the line embedded in the phone, and it reports the co-ordinates to you.

That is basically how a tracker works.

There are also other interesting functions provided by tracking devices.

Disabling vehicle: vehicle can be shut down easily using the relay functions and certain commands to turn vehicle off and on.

Geo fencing: if vehicle steps out of a set zone e.g lagos state, it sends a message indicating where vehicle is, how fast it is moving, in what direction etc.

Speed warning: tracker sends a warning indicating vehicle is over a pre determined speed limit.

Battery low: if vehicle has been left for too long and main battery has gone below regular battery voltage, tracker sends a warning.

There are more awesome features, but for now that's from the top of my Head.


Contrary to popular belief, trackers can be installed personally and monitored. You do not need all the large fancy fleet monitoring outfits to do it for you, while charging you a premium every year. All you need to do is regularly keep the line in the tracker active so it is not shut down by the network.

In the trackers installed in my vehicle, I ensure I recharge with 100naira every month and place a call to the tracker. I also utilze the listen function by instructing the tracker to call my registered line.


When ever you insure a vehicle comprehensively, and the insurers know vehicle is a hot cake (thief magnet) and vehicles value is over 1m the insured usually gets a free tracking device. Sadly you get a cheap tracking device that is installed poorly. A few months down the line and the tracker disables the vehicle when it malfunctions.

The use of high quality relay system is key to avoiding failure.

I have installed a tracking device in this vehicle, but for security concerns I will not be telling you where it is installed

The tracking device is a tramingo T23, and it is not set to disable fuel supply (that would be too easy) but to cause intended damage to 1 very sensitive equipment in case of theft.

Let's hope I'll never have to use it.
