Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State on Tuesday commissioned the newly introduced Benue sacks and measures, otherwise known as mudus.

The occasion took place at Makurdi Ultra-Modern market, along Dr George Akume way.

The approved width of the sack for crops such as rice, groundnuts is 28 inches and its length is 47 inches - Net WT 28/47.
The approved size of a bag for crops such as soybeans is Net WT 23/27.

A container of products in category of parboiled rice must not be above 25kg.

First, Ortom is a failure, that is long settled.

Secondly, what was done at today was a way to give our Benue farmers the best deal for their labour as per the monetary worth of their products. This would curb incidences of pigs and idiots from barren neighboring lands from shortchanging them at a bargain.

Thirdly, it's been months a particular idiotic pig has been craving my attention and actively seeking same. I hope with this response, his life would become prolonged by a few more days and his misery reduced a notch.
