Seriousbuyer: Hi. Before you start paying for visa fees again, it would be useful to have an idea of why you were rejected in the first place. Can you post a transcript of your interview so we can help you analyze what went wrong? |

Easylife338: Do not panic because a pain staking investigation would be done before arresting a suspect in US. If you use a debit card and it failed you simply pay by other means such as cash, wire transfer etc. Ask for the phone number of her College Advisor and talk to the person explaining the circumstances that led to the decline of transaction. You should be prepared to do a wire transfer to the school directly if need be. I believe the debit card is issued in her name. |

Bandeco: At bold.. Humm are you for real? mennn una don plenty for this thread ooo. Even the so called Americans believe in God. they always mention God in everything they do, check their motor, currency and also listen to what a public officer holder always say after given a speech, which is to say they know and believe that God exist even in their sins. So i see no reason why some Nigerians will go to America and start having that mindset that God don't exist. well it's your choice to believe whatever you want but please don't come here and say that rubbish @ bold. personally i have not been to church for the last 3yrs here in nigeria but i strongly believe there is God and he exist. anytime i pray or fast, i always get result but mind you am not a saint. 2 Likes |

Congrats bro, were you asked to send your transcript for evaluation with WES or other transcript evaluating bodies? Cos I am planning to apply for the same course in the same school. Thanks. Good morning everyone. I am a silent follower and my visa was approved on the 21st of July 2017. I want to thank Almighty God for everything. The journey wasn't easy from looking for schools, to writing exams, to paying sevis and finally getting the Visa. I also want to thank Lagosismyhome and texrem. They replied my pm even when it wasn't convenient. Nairaland has really done a lot of tutoring and I'm glad I came upon this thread as at the time I did. Here is my transcript. Hello house, I have a question to ask, is it possible that your visa is denied after you have gotten the white paper and asked to come back in 3 days to pick your passport? I was chatting with a friend last night and he was explaining to me that someone he knows was denied after getting the white paper from the embassy, reason was that the 'VO/Embassy checked the documents he submitted with the school during his application and discovered that he submitted a fake account statement'... I have a hard time believing this but I need to be sure and confirm from gurus on here that have more experience with stuff like this. |

Easylife338: She can call GTB directly to activate the card. Call GTconnect. Its a 24hrs interactive customer care. She ought to have done that before she travelled. I am sure the person that gave her the card must have told her 2 things: change your pin and call to activate your card. |

Hello gurus!! I will be going for my 2nd interview next week. I have prepared a transcript. Pls help me criticise and advice me on this... Why BYUI? Of all the schools I applied to, ByuI's mechanical engineering curriculum offered me a discipline in two courses I'm interested in. That it mechatronics and robotics and thermal science. Moreover, I have been checked in in an ongoing project, that is the supermileage dynanometer project. This project involves us building a dynanometer that mimics the load a car experiences when its on the road including measuring the engine efficiency and torque effect on the wheels. This knowledge will help optimize the vehicle for a longer, safe and more effective use. This is really needed in Africa, and I believe this would be great way to start up my career. What will this course do for you? It will help with the technical skills, knowledge, experience and exposure to work in an automotive firm like innoson motors or an oil company like chevron and also help me achieve my goal of one day owning my automotive firm. What have you been doing since high school graduation in 2014? When i finished highschool in june 2014, by September 2014, I started a computer training institute, computer gradens institute, i did this for three months. Then by February 2015, I started helping out in my dad's medium scale plumbing firm. I helped in transporting pipes, plumbing machines and tools and also fix them in homes and offices. I was also he engineer, i fixed the machines when they are spoilt. What is your study plan? I will be starting ByuI by September 8th, for my bachelors degree in mechanical engineering. I will be required to take 120 credits in a duration of 48 months. When I graduate I will come back to Nigeria to work for a multinational firm, say Innoson motors or chevron. Did you take sat? No, it was waived. I took TOEFL and i got 87 Why did you apply to only schools in the Midwest? Its just coincidence. I searched for schools that offered great domain for practical learning, and I came up with these three schools. How did you hear about the school? I searched for schools that offered practical learning with great mentorship programs using usnews and Princeton review. That's how i found the school. Mention some courses you'll be taking. Introduction to engineering Parametric CAD Science foundation . Who will be sponsoring you? My dad. He is the treasury manager at XXXX and he also owns his plumbing firm. 1 Like |
