Am happy to say am married to an officer of the Nigerian army and wouldn't have it any other way, those castigating the soldiers write up should shut up, what do you about barrack life, you couldn't last a day in the Nigerian Defence Academy, you should see the rigorous training they go through, after that officers and soldiers are posted out to the north east to fight our battles, do you how many women have become widows, fatherless, instead of praising the Camo some spit on it.
If you can do better join up, don't be all mouth.. Go to 44 military hospital in kd, maybe that would shut you up, learn to respect soldiers, some leave wives and families for months, you are in the same country with your hubby and you won't see him for months, that is sacrifice.

I understand u perfectly but a hungry man is an angry man, Nigeria government maltreat our soldiers by not paying them well to take good care of their family that's y they vent their anger on the public

They vent their anger on the public because they are cowards. Simple.

Think about it, soldier vs civilian. One armed, the other unarmed. One able to call for ARMED reinforcement if overpowered, the other unable to do so. Now tell me, and any bastard called a soldier reading this should also tell me, is this an even contest? Is it a fair contest? Is this a true test of strength or courage?

There you have it. Nigerian soldiers are the biggest cowards in the world. The only advantage they have over the average civilian is not so-called rubbish and outdated training. It is their arms and ammunition - issued by the government. Unfortunately, the gun control laws in Nigeria make it very difficult for the average civilian to lay hands on a rifle. Otherwise these cowardly soldiers wouldn't be so 'brave'. Simple and short.

The Nigerian Army is like a rotten fish, it stinks all the way to the gates of Valhalla. None of our soldiers will make it there, cus they have no honor

Discipline Zero: they molest citizens who pay your enumeration, Extrajudicial killings na their middle name; they messed up so bad that USA refused to sell weapons to us Because they know the army will use it on innocent civilians. Look at how the Nigerian Army bombed an IDP camp. Even The mushroom ones sent to NYSC camp are busy chasing girls
Truth Zero: The useless soldier compared the Nigerian Army to Knights, Knights stood by the truth; the Nigerian army has killed shekau 9 times, Technically defeated boko haram. The truth never comes from their mouth.
Bravery Zero: I remember when Boko haram used only 200 fighters to sack a military zone. Even Leonaidis of sparta couldnt achieve that, our soldiers are cowards thats why they try too hard to prove their ruggedity on the body of civilians.

A good friend of mine once said "If you are my brother and you join any of the Nigerian security apparatus, that day i seize to know you"
The Nigerian Army is a dance of shame, I dont even believe all the stories i hear of their gallantry at Liberia.

THE NIGERIAN ARMY NEEDS TO APOLOGIZE TO NIGERIANS ON ITS ROLE OF TRUNCATING DEMOCRACY, THEY ARE THE REAL ENEMIES OF THE PEOPLE. obanjo,Ibb, david mark etc

Who exactly is a good soldier and does any Soldier deserve respect? The one who kills innocent people in other countries and receive applause from his countrymen or the one who dies for his country fighting without questioning why he had to fight? Why should I respect a man who can't think for himself? Why respect a man who fights because stupid men decided to make their personal problems nationalistic?

Will you shut up, you brainless bimbo. So your so-called husband is the only man in his village that can last more than a day in the NDA? You must be kidding me. Do you know how many millions of "bloody civilians" that are willing and able to join the armed forces right now, but can't find their way in because they don't have any godfather, or don't know any traditional ruler or Senator and all that rubbish? You must be very mad.

If you ask very well, your husband and most of the cowards in the Nigerian Armed Forces are not qualified to be soldiers in any sane country. But due to the usual nepotism, corruption, and influence peddling that has battered us a people, misfits like them can lobby their way into the armed forces through the back door... Only for buffoons like you to come here and rub it in our faces and form a very vexatious sense of pride and achievement in spite of your nothingness.

Hey Soldier,

what do you think you are doing fighting and killing your country men - untrained Boko Haram and militants; instead of fighting trained external aggressors?

Soldier,

You derive authority from civilians who also pay your monthly salary.

Soldier,

Boko Haram is fighting for a country that can be ruled with Islamic Sharia criminal laws in the North of Nigeria, it's the same Sharia criminal laws which leaders in northern Nigeria adopted for their 12 states.
Soldier, you are therefore indirectly fighting the people of northern Nigeria as you are fighting Boko Haram.

Soldier,

The militants in the Niger delta which you say you are fighting - many of the militants have said they want a new country from Nigeria;

in view of the above cases, you are fighting Nigerian civilians to protect and prolong the existing political status quo for a section of Nigeria which believes it's profiting more than others from the existing political structure and governance system that have failed up to 95% of Nigerians.

Soldier,

wake up and embrace reality, leave the indoctrination of Nigeria Armed Forces that seems to focus mostly on fighting and killing restive Nigerians; than fighting external aggressors.

A Nigerian soldier identified as Ojikutu Ridwanullahi - has urged fellow countrymen to have respect for soldiers and stop seeing them as the enemies. The young man who relayed his message via Facebook saying that the risks the gallant men (soldiers) take for country should reciprocated with respect and not condemnation. Read his message below;

Dear civilians of Nigeria this post is meant to change ur thinking towards us. Looking at other countries, people give respect to their soldiers and these soldiers are not working as hard as we. Nigerian Soldiers are not ur enemies, the enemies are Boko Haram and Militant.

We are facing dem for u while u run away from dem. Take for instance, if there is an attack u cannot go there but to run off the place to avoid death but we with just one life like u will run to it and make it stop. We can die as well because we have blood in our veins.

You have never clapped for our struggles but talk bad about us, u have never prayed for us but plan on how to injure us are u our enemy as well. Before i joined Army, i thought Soldiers were bullies but wen i joined i got to know that since u cant stop a moving car but pushing or pulling it den u cant stop soldiers from being rugged and causing because thats the programming. Stop adding to Soldiers problem and give us our little respect as warriors.

In those days, no one dears try a knight or soldiers but nw not the same. Our soldiers die everyday for the country. If you want to know more, come for the training and lets post you @ Maiduguri or Chad or Cameroon then you will know. Gallant Soldiers pls pass this on till all Nigerian will see it. These days, we see Nigerian soldiers on course in America and Europe. What have they gone to learn in the course? How to fight militants, Boko Haram, secessionists.

No body told these soldiers that if Nigeria is restructured to modern federalism, there shall be no Boko Haram, no Niger delta militants, no Biafra or the recent Oduduwa Republics secessionists movements.

First of all I salute every Nigerian soldier, the sacrifice most of you make to ensure we're safe I appreciate. Nevertheless I condemn most of your attitudes and actions towards us civilians though most of your actions are as a result of frustration and how poorly you're managed but you have to understand that we civilians are not responsible. You leave your families and friends for weeks and months to ensure we're safe. You give up your comfort and your life to defend us and so much more sacrifices . We're not ungrateful. Please if you want our respect as civilians you have to stop seeing us as bloody and worthless civilians, love us like American soldiers love their countrymen and we will reciprocate by giving you the respect you deserve. However RESPECT IS EARNED AND NOT GIVEN.Work towards that. God bless Nigerian Army,Air Force,Navy,DSS and all the Paramilitary.

Are u saying other country's military who are well respected are perfect. Go and insult and maltreat your local security first to see how he will react.

I don't believe he's saying that. What we have here is abuse of power by military people who harass innocent victims. No civilian in his right mind would insult a military officer/recruit, yet see how brutal they are in Nigeria. What did that cripple man do to deserve that beating? What about that lady? Or the guy who called the officer beautiful? Or the guy who asked where he could ease himself? Or countless other victims whose only crime is being a Nigerian civilian?

If there are such abuses of power in the West, the officer in question is reprimanded, and demonstrations/riots may follow. It's a sad shame in Nigeria that nobody can come to the aid of the victims, for fear of being killed by the people who have been trained to defend us. Superior officers don't care to cull the behavior, so if we show fear and loathing for soldiers, please understand.

God bless you. These fools can't defeat a ragtag bunch of bloody civilians with guns (i.e Boko Haram).. Imagine Boko Haram was as funded, equipped, and most importantly, LEGALLY SUPPORTED as a conventional state force. They would overrun the cowards in the Nigerian Army in less than a week.

Utter Bullshit. So because you are married to one automatically justifies what they do. So what if they train hard? Thats the job of a warrior. The life of a soldier is that of sacrifice Im surprised your hisband hasnt told you that. No soldier anywhere in the world has an easy training but its only in this cesspit that you see soldiers complaining about how hard their training is. Its not as if If they are even trained properly sef. want the easy life they can quit. If I was in their shoes Id rather quit than behave like fools.

I don't understand... such rigorous training and sacrifice should translate to more gallant behaviour, don't you think? I respect our armed forces, but I fail to see how somebody well trained, instilled with honour and duty, should descend so low as to attack harmless civilians. If civilians had the right to bear arms, I doubt we'd see such callous abuse of power.
