The letter is not fake please! We all know that proper English language is a big challenge for many Nigerians especially government workers. The issue of KW is definitely a typographical error and is most likely Kano. Of course, Kwara wasn't among the centres. Sometimes it's someone's shitty hand-writing that leads to such an error during typing. A closer look at the letter overall should reveal several other mistakes like the use of punctuations, sentence structure, etc.

Even though official and sensitive letters such as this usually ought not to feature such mistakes as there are people that ensure letters are in order at their offices, the letter does not seem to be fake and was actually sent to DPR. It is only normal for the photocopy to be stamped as acknowledgement copy. If anything is fake about the letter then it has to be the sender. On this note, my instincts are strongly telling me that the letter was deliberately crafted by someone close to the Chief Whip's office (someone with access to letter-headed paper, signature sample of the Chief Whip, stamp for instance, etc) to present their own candidates to Director of DPR to make it look like it's from the Chief Whip. In other words, impersonation! How comes none of the surnames of the candidates are familiar? And it is a situation like this that some take advantage of to make money from the candidates in exchange for a slot.

Come to think of it, even if politicians might want to exert influence for their preferred candidates, they are conversant with all these recruitment processes so they are not that foolish to the extent that the names are made available cheaply in this manner. Even hand-written notes, they hardly issue it these days because of the risk posed by social media. Taking the recent CBN case for instance, it was even after several months or few years of working (after appointment) that their names got leaked, not letters of introduction before the deed was done!

What most people fail to understand was that if there would be 'candidates of favour', then they must have been considered during the period after applications for recruitment was closed and before the aptitude tests were conducted.

People are unnecessarily getting stressed and worked up over this. Please switch your attention towards something else while hoping for the best. What will be, will be!!! If one misses the opportunity by so doing, then the person will find it easier to forget but if one eventually gets it, fine and good - it would even come as a surprise and make the whole thing sweeter

Guys, let's get the thread back to its original purpose.

What to you know about DPR applications? in 2007, it took a year and half... They concluded everything in November of 2008 to begin in January 2009.


same thing in 2011, they concluded everything in February 2013.


But this year's, from my observation and discussions, Before the end of August, Interviews may be conducted and in September/ October, "love letters" may rain in.

if you get your DPR job, do not forget your comrades on nairaland. even a continuous moral support will do. let the thread just not end after the APLs are received. we can take it further and be our brother's and sister's keepers....


Also, if you want to call them at DPR to find out about the next stage, try to be as civil and respectful as purpose. to be honest, The guy who had been taking calls of candidates has been very professional and awesome. He deserves commendation. in fact, your commendations can push them to expedite the process.

Before we get back to our original post, I will like to remind those critising the guy who posted the whip latter that before the house of rep, senate, national assembly, president, vice president, the 36 ministers, and even the staff and directors of dpr finish sending their latter's, there will be just 2 space remaining for all of us. I hope you guys understand what am trying to say.

my brother don't be surprised that not everyone will be capable of influencing an employment at DPR. it doesn't work that way. that's why these reps and senators wJt to belong in special 'juicy' committees. besides that was just a letter of introduction .

the guy did well but how about the visitor. who will protect him from victimisation? I really understand your point brother, don't get me wrong.

I am not sure anyone is still pending, secondly, I don't want to use the expression "reliable source" but I think the interview will be before then. possibly end of August. not too sure though. unless you heard it from a very reliable source.

The application portal is not accessible to those who have been rejected.
It seems its only those who wrote the test that have access to the portal now.

Madam when/where did I not wish you well?...I brought an info that those waiting on pending should forget it...I made it subtle that I didn't want to sound hash but it was the hard truth. Maybe some people didn't want or weren't prepared to hear it but it was what it was.

Some of them were cursing me, calling me names and I was looking at them cos they had no idea what's going on. Now reality struck and I came here to lessen the blow, after all I tried to warn them.

Now tell me, how does that equate to not wishing someone well?...lastly, if you are still on my case waiting wickedly to see if APL will show...I hate to break your heart again, cos my dear I vow to you it is coming. Definitely!
