It's a pity nothing works in Nigeria, so the guy was expecting "dear uncle yomi or dear boda yomi? "

Dear Yomi sounds so casual. In secondary school we were taught when writing formal letters or addressing a superior person, we use Sir, not Dear...

Africans and love for unnecessary respect is the height of stupidity.

Very soon he will want to be addressed as not just his name and regalia but additional names to suit his ancestors will be needed.

shocked

The police is truly your friend.
There's no hope for the Nigerian Police Force of such a high-ranking official can be this unprofessional, uncouth, petty and ill-mannered.

Our Nigerian Police should be scrapped, all the policemen killed and a new police force constituted.

The other day while at Connaught Square, Westminster, I met Tony Blair. I said "good morning Tony' and there was no biggie to it.

When will we get there?

So?

This Nigeria or African mentality of too much respect is beginning to get irritating.

Lecturers behaves like gods, police same, politicians after elections, same. What is wrong with us?

Growing up, you will be expected to kneel down while your elders are drinking water, they should not drink without somebody to kneel down these says, let's see who will be thirsty!

In some African countries here, children call their parents by their names, it has not reduced the longevity of their parents life. Abegi!!!!!
