This is exactly why politicians will continue to ruin this nation. A nation where her president is London with an undisclosed ailment, incommunicado for more than 3 months, some people are still coming in support of him. It is very surprising!

You see the reason why many politicians are just messing with the seat of the presidency. Tomorrow another president will come up and do whatever he or she likes and people will still support him.

Why then do we blame the politicians or by he government?

Some Nigerians have shut down Abuja, the nation’s capital in support of the President Muahhamdu Buhari-led government.

The protesters, under the aegis of Coalition for Good Governance and Change Initiative have converged at the Unity Fountain, Abuja singing solidarity songs in support of the Nigerian government.

They are currently marching to the Presidential Villa.

Some of the placards being displayed at the protest ground include: ‘the system is working, no cause for alarm, ‘we repose confidence on President Muhammadu Buhari,’ our president is recuperating, Nigeria is moving forward.

Meanwhile, checks by this reporter show that the anti-Buhari protesters have deserted the Unity Fountain.

Very funny people was expecting it already so it's not a surprise. apc will always have one way to fight back any simple protest or demand they will say it's pdp who arranged or sponsor it. The hate music apc came and say pdp did it in their desperation to distract people they went on rampage about Diezani Madueke she owns this she owns that I was even waiting for apc and Magu to say Diezani owns entire Nigeria but the truth remain no matter how hard apc try they will weep come 2019 the Tsunami is loading.........................

Despite I was among those who said Buhari should go back to UK for proper medical treatment sorry to say this I have no pity on him because he did it for Yar dua so I don't pity him if people ask for his resignation or whatever I support them with all my soul he must vacate Aso Rock, he and his party has failed and must be kick out of Aso Rock.

For those doing counter protest carry on it's a free world that is what you wll be busy doing and 2019 will pass bye and your party become history in Nigeria keep your counter protest and defense of Buhari I love it that way.

This crowd is way more than the resumeorresign protest that was molested by the police with claims that miscrants infiltrated the protest.. Just wondering how miscrants can infiltrate a small crowd but cannot do same to a larger crowd of protesters...

May God deliver this country from manipulator and evil doers. A country where nothing is working, some mentally derailed youth that have sold their souls to politicians and their future to poverty are on the street supporting the absence of president for three good months with placards the reads no cause for alarm, Nigeria is moving forward. What a shame. .......vengeance must surely answers in the camp of all Anti Nigeria.

For those of you condemning the Pro-Buhari group, you are just being insensitive to his plight. Anyone can fall sick and he is not the first head of government to fall sick. He did what is required of him by the constitution by passing over the baton to Osinbajo in his absence. In fact, at some point, many of you claimed that Osinbajo is even performing better than Buhari and told him to remain in London. It is therefore obvious that the anti-Buhari group is just motivated by hatred and/or tacit support for the corrupt people who want Buhari out at all costs.
My own understanding of the situation is that some people who are not happy with the results being achieved and improvements being recorded in the economy just encouraged the anti-Buhari group to create a diversion.
If indeed they were sincere, they should have protested to the foreign embassies of UK, USA and others in Lagos and Abuja and demand the repatriation of people like Diezani who looted our economy mindlessly.
Buhari's absence has not affected the day-to-day running of government. We should only pray for his quick recovery. He has demonstrated that being around to run the country is a service that can be rendered by his deputy with whom they won on a joint ticket. To him, it is not a do or die affair. That's why he's taking care of his health first. He deserves commendation for thinking straight unlike other sit-tight African leaders.

And the Nigerian police force has not fired tear gas on them yet?

But if one protest against Buhari to return or resign you would see the police at their best since 1914 amalgamation undecided

Shweeps, why are you guys surprised? It seems you guys are really the indomie generation. Those of us, old enough to understand what is going on in March 1998, ie 19+ years ago saw this same bs

A guy called Daniel Kanu (not sure if he is a relation of Nnamdi Kanu) staged the "2 million - man March in March" under the aegis of "Youths Ernestly Ask for Abacha" YEAA'98. ABUJA shut down!!!!! The crowd was massive, rumor had it then they were given 5,000 naira each then when $1 was N78.

That was were I concluded and accepted what the then Chief of General Staff (vice president) Lt. General Oladipo Diya said, that "every Nigerian alive is corrupt"

Name ONE Nigerian then in the current political class of governors and senators, ministers..... except a few like Gani Fawehinmi, Bola Ige, Balarabe Musa, Anthony Enahoro, Femi Falana - that was not coopted? That was not bought over?

Even the likes of Archbishops Onaikan, Okogie, Idahosa, Oritsejafor, all of them .... Shina Peters, Onyeka Onwenu, Zebrudayya, late Lamidi Adedibu all the who is who in Nigeria staged continuous protest day in day out, and visited Aso Rock to plead with Abacha, that:

1. They will not eat

2. They will not drink

3. They will not sleep

UNTIL ABACHA SUCCEED'S HIMSELF as civilian president. That was where I gave up on Nigeria!!!

All 5 political parties then endorsed Abacha as the sole presidential candidate, no one in Nigeria was qualified to run against that social misfit of an illiterate soldier

You indomie generation have not seen anything yet, una dey complain. Those Nigerians who did that bs then, are at the nucleus of this evil exercise we are discussing today.

That is why I regret daily for those of us who wrongly crucified Jonathan to elect Buhari. We all forgot too soon .... Jonathan had his flaws like every president and a human BUT Buhari has proven to be much worse. . It is cry my beloved country!!!!
