yimiton: Yes, most post gr programmes require a proof of English(Academic ielts/toefl etc) even if u are already a PR....even licensing bodies (for those in regulated professions) often require this. So yea, maybe u shld change it if u can. I plan on writing Academic ielts sef. |

Ronnie1984: Hi Ronnie, No 1 question has been adequately answered. About question 2, i know that the US does not take over stay likely. Though its not a federal crime, its however considered a civil offense and is grounds for inadmissibility into the US in future. He will definitely be needing the dreaded FBI PCC and with his situation one cant say exactly what the outcome will be. 2 Likes |

40manlappy: NB: I am not in any way endorsing placement of funds in treasury bill (TB) just before/immediately after ITA in order to present it as POF without needing a bank statement or other supporting documents. TBs, bank statements, etc, have proven to be tested alternatives to IRCC's standard requirement for POF which is an official letter from a bank or financial institution. I had the TBs in question for over 6 months but still provided bank statements to show the source. Also used LOE to make it easy for the VO to understand the statements. This is just to clarify my previous post so that it won't be quoted out of context or misunderstood. cc: Ehrnie, CAstruggle 7 Likes 1 Share

Goodevening pple. Long post alert!!!! Please I need some help: 1. Hope I can get reference letter prior to ITA (as am not yet in the pool sef). I left organization some yrs bak so wanted to start early but surprisingly they were swift. 2. Organisation did not give me reference letter in exact same format. They letter seemed a bit complicated and they aren't forth coming with correcting/simplifying it. Let me explain: I served with dem as a marketer and was retained also as a marketer for 3 yrs. So wanted the entire 4 years reference(I ran a masters programme while working so incase the masters yrs is assumed as part time, the 4 yrs will still make up 3 yrs max point fr me). Now they wrote; Nysc marketer 2008 to 2009. Account officer 2009 to 2012, team member commercial banking 2012 to 2013. All the above job titles are exactly same in the bank, they would have jst written marketer or acct officer in all rather Dan separating it to seem like diff job functions in same organization. Den on job functions dey wrote " account officer/team member commercial banking" (den listed all the job function) they did not incluse the marketer (job title the letter gave me for NYSC. Even though all of the job titles are same with exactly same function, VO might not knw this and may assume they shuld represent different NOC. They also did not include my salary for the service year. Meanwhile my 2 supervisors then have resigned with the bank so can't get any to write me a supporting reference with his complimentary card. Can I write an LOE and perhaps attach the statement where I was paid salary for the nysc job. Won't the VO believe that there must be something different about the job titles to warrant the employer list all 3 of them it at different times dt i worked wt the bank. I have called the guy that prepared the letter to save me all the stress by just capturing one job title to avoid confusion since we both knw that dey are exactly same but unfortunately he is adamant. Kindly advice me |

You have to scan all pages with stamps on your passport... They would easily determine all the places you have been to and how long. Can't be hidden. nkigirl: |

If you believe this, you shouldn't advice anyone to get PCC for countries visited for a cumulative of 4 months... CIC simply requires 6 months and above.. freeradical: 6 Likes |

40manlappy: Thanks. My plan is to present my TB, plus SOA and letter of explanation. I only wanted to know what percentage of my funds i could have as TBs from persons whom have used TBs as POF. I really dont want the money dormant anymore in my account. Still expecting my IELTS and WES results in by next week. I appreciate all your response. Thanks for the clarification. |

I think it's best your husband sends the balance to your account, cos when you add him to your application, CIC will request for an updated POF for 2... You can add an LOE stating he transferred the money to you to complete the POF. Olamidexy: |

Good day everyone, this is a nice thread and have been following and reading. Please I wish to submit my EOI this September, but before I proceeded, I need to know where I stand. 1)- I have six years work experience which I gained after my ND in Engineering and I did my HND while working, after my HND, I got a managerial position which is less than a year, what's my Chance with NOC? 2) I have a fiancé, we're not married yet as we don't want to spend money on wedding for now. I wish to process my application with her. Can i submit my EOI with her has my COMMON LAW PARTNER, and if i get ITA, we'll do a court wedding. What are my chances about that? Wanted her to do IELTS and ECA 3) am yet to do my ECA, i heard IQAS is cheaper, which would you guys advise? WES or IQAS? I had my ND in another school.different from my HND. I don't mind the delay in time, i am after gaining a good CRS score and spending minimal. 4) POF, what are my options on getting POF, my salary account has a constant flow of monthly salary, but i do invest in lanes property so no huge savings, can i USE my RSA statement of Account? What if i sell my landed property and do a lump sum lodgement, won't that trigger an alarm? Please i need detailed response on this before i proceed with my application. Thanks @all |

Hi, Mehn this post is rather long! Surprised you are writing to complain about it here when you should be complaining to your bank HR. I've worked with 3 banks and used all 3 as work reference. I did not have any trouble with any of them, most bank HRs have written letter to CIC for their staff so they are usually helpful. All 3 banks asked me to write my job roles and responsibilities and send to them. Don't talk to one HR staff, send a mail to your HR group. Do u mind telling the bank? Might be one of the ones I've worked with.... superdoll: |
