[quote author=bigfido post=59368190]For the dude that passed the ielts that is complaining bitterly, please be thankful to God. I have written ielts 7 times. My journey started since 2015. My Wes has been ready since then, but because of age and ielts, I have been falling short. I wrote ielts and got moderate score. I didn't know what was required then, since then, it has been a battle for me. My last 3 scores were 8,7.5,7,6... 7.5,7.5,7.5,7... 7.5,8,7,7..after the 6th one in June, I swore I was done with this dream. I had sunk so much money into this. I have gone to dubai to write celpip, went to dubai again for new brunswick info session, spent money 2ice on SINP and all to no avail. I was frustrated and devastated. July, I told my spouse to let me try ielts one more time. Even thou she didn't want to see me hurt again, she let me have my way. As for her she was done. She wanted the dream ________×____ I feel encouraged sir, still sad about my result but not utterly broken. Some one may not have shared their experience for whatever reason but you selflessly did.In so doing you have spread ripples of hope in some of us.Thank you for your post. 10 Likes |

Hello Everyone, I'm so happy to have found this thread. Congrats to everyone getting PPR and all the different milestones. Please seniors in the house... Sorry for coming here with my wahala again, but I'm just a bit panicky. I got ITA, and I am about to submit my e-APR, but this issue about refused visa has me perplexed. You see, I have a current Canadian visitor visa, and I only realised that I forgot to reveal I was refused UK visa in the past in my previous application form. With this EE application, I'm thinking it's best to write out the details of this visa refusal, and explain there was an error in me not including it in my last visa application in an LOE. People are telling me not to do this, as I would be implicating myself, which can negatively impact my application. But I'm afraid being banned for not including this information, or being refused for not explaining the discrepancy... Would me writing the LOE be negative to my application? Am I ko baing myself? Please help, as I want to submit today. I eagerly anticipate your opinions |

Thanks for the good work you guys are doing here. I have a small question please. I evaluated my OND and Bsc with WES and the summary reads "Canadian equivalency: Diploma (2 years) and Bachelors (4 years)". This OND I obtained before my BSc. I have gone through this thread and especially through cochtrane's summaries (God bless for the wonderful work). I saw some previous people who also had OND before Bsc and it was evaluated the same. Also, I have learnt HND and OND is observed by WES to be 2 or more years. Even though the OND is obtained before the HND. Now, here's my question: is it okay to use this to claim "two or more certificates"? According to the CIC website, I think they were talking about Post-graduate diploma, as opposed to OND. Yet on this site I saw a few posts where some people said they used it, I.e. OND before BSc and OND before HND. Can anyone please clarify? Cochtrane MummyJaygirls 40manlappy |

Hello guys, I have cumulative 5 years experience but I intend to only claim 2+ years from different companies out of the three I have worked for 'cos the job description match for both companies and not for the third. Now the question; Do I have to state all work experience or I just fill in only the the ones I intend to claim points for? |

superdoll: 1. IMO, that should not be a problem. Hope you are diving into the pool soon. 2. Unless I am missing something here, the job titles that you quoted above can fit into one NOC. There is nothing wrong in capturing your work experience in the sequence of the reference letter that was issued by your former employer. You can claim the 3 years to earn your maximum points as long as you have reference letters to support them. You can also claim your NYSC if you want by supporting available documentation with LOE but I don't think that is really necessary since you already have 3 years in your kitty. As far as I know, whether you did your MBA on part-time or full-time is irrelevant. 1 Like |

I do not have much experience in this area, but from the look of things, as it was stated clearly as 2 different degrees, OND (2 years) and BSc (4years),... It seems safe to claim 2 degrees or more. 40manlappy: 2 Likes 1 Share |

Hi I evaluated OND and HND and WES assessed as 2 years diploma (OND), 3 years diploma and 1 year post graduate certificate (HND+OND). I may not be able to explain the rationale behind this but I want to believe they have considered the 1 year internship. Please note that from the attached screenshot ==>http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/eca-conversion.asp. CIC have placed emphasis on post graduate, graduate and not just diploma earned before graduation. Only a Dual Bachelor’s degree (four years) appears to be an undergraduate degree. This is why assessing ACCA with WES alongside a normal BsC gives two or more certificates as it is double degree. Trust this clarifies. This is my interpretation though, I would suggest you create your EE profile when ready and input the two qualifications, ensure that the ND is stated as diploma and your BsC as it is. Kindly let us know if it generates a score for two or more certificates so that the house can be better informed on what actually works in practice. All the best gustalnov: 1 Like

Hi Hopefuls/Successfuls, Am really happy to be following this thread and it has been marvelous all the way. Am intending to submit my wife's EE profile soon. I would just like to know answers to the following questions before i decide to: 1. Do i need a PCC for my wife who has cummulatively 177 days give or take in the US? I understand the rule is to get one if ur 180 days and over. Read somewhere that u shud do for over 3/4 months for foreign PCC. A friend abroad told me I dont need since my wifes stay isnt up to that and he also said "trust me, u dont want to be giving FBI ur details really if u dont have to". To me, the above rule is quite clear, 180 days and over, get a PCC. If not up to 180 days, u dont need it. whats ur own take or experience? 2. My wife is a lawyer and her 1st year worked in a legal firm. She took time off to have our baby and post-natal for about 8 months. Then she took up a flexible job selling insurance for an insurance firm (as the legal firms were not recruiting again due to recession and she didnt want to go back to her former firm coz she didnt really like the place). She still does some legal work for some client by the side and helps a senior lawyer out with some legal work from time to time. Shes entering EE as a lawyer which is what she read and practices. We doubt the insurance firm will give us reference.. Now, how would you advice we go about her work references? Thanks |

bigfido:Listening - I remember Acacia. I almost missed it. I slipped on 2 questions in section 4. Reading was the easiest for me though. I had time to wee and even double-check. I slipped up on the writing. I spent too much time on section 1. I was still on section 1 when I heard 20 minutes more. I didn't know how it happened. I rushed through the section 2. Didn't have time to proof-read. I was even afraid it might not be up to 250 words. |

kissoflife: Fill the ones you want to claim points for when creating your EE profile and after getting an ITA, you will put the ones you are not claiming points for under the personal history section when filling your e-APR. https://www.nairaland.com/2624318/canadian-express-entry-federal-skilled/130#46407857t 2 Likes 1 Share |
