@bigfido i cant but comment on ur tenacity. It simply examplifies what this Canadian PR journey is all about. Ur post is an inspiration to all irrespective of our stages in Canadian PR process (either u are still thinking about applying or u have landed). My take from ur inspiring post is that this journey requires certain virtues/things & i will list some of them; 1-PATIENCE: At a stage in this application, u just have to be patient. For some it is at d IELTS stage, for some it is after AOR, for some it is even after PPR. While some people get PPR in 18days after AOR, unfortunately for some it is after 18 months. We just have to be patient. 2-TENACITY:U must be tenacious & never take no for an answer. Some will be rejected at IELTS stage, while for some it is Post-AOR, for some it will be by employers in Canada. U must not accept defeat for whatever reason. I had a guy in my AOR group whose application was rejected after passing medicals, he never gave up, he submitted a new application almost immediately after getting a new ITA, it was funny that he got PPR before 90% of us who didnt get our application rejected. What we are facing in the PR process is small compared to what most of us will face when we get to Canada. 3-DOING GOOD- Imagine u didnt reply Lere, who knows, dis testimony may have been delayed. U dont know on whose behalf d Lord will answer ur prayer. A lot of people have been helpful on this group, lets not be tired of doing good because at d right time we will reap d benefits not necessarily from d person u helped but d good u do always has a way of coming back to u. Some poeple's dream wont have come thru if not for this thread. If u have landed in Canada & u feel u cant help, remember this opportunity for Canadian PR was opened by people who didnt know if u even exist at all.Let us be our brother/sister's keeper. 4-DESTINY-Since we all have different names so are our paths. Some will write IELTS & pass it once but will not be able to raise d POF for 1 year, some will have tens of millions & good qualifications but IELTS will b dia hurdle, for some they will even have very fast timelines but dia application will go into security check & take months. Lets not always compare ourselves with others, u never know what they have gone thru or may be going thru. I hope this lifts some1's spirit THANKS FOR YOUR POST. I AM ALREADY HAVING CHALLENGES WITH POF. JUST HOPING ON GOD. 4 Likes |

Hi everyone, Please Is it possible for ielts listening score to be upgraded ? Has it been upgraded for anyone on this platform? I had a 7.5 |

Hi people. I believe i filled work history (with her NOC too) for my spouse pre-TA (i'm the PA) because when updating the form(post ITA), a place appeared for her work history (She has no Canadian experience BTW). 1) If i answer YES to DO you have any work history, the placeholder on the final page expects me to upload reference letters for her work. That means she has to get a reference letter just like i did !!! 2 )Please note that if i answer NO to (1) above, the placeholder for her work history in the submission page disappears. So should i tick YES to her having work experience and ask her to get a reference letter OR tick NO to her having work reference since i do not get extra points by her non Canadian work experience. Seniors, Everyone please HELP!!! |

coolhayor: Hmm.... This post leaves me thinking about the philosophy of life. Indeed God is mysterious in his doings , no wonder the holy book (Bible) says "His ways are far beyond anything we could imagine". Lessons learn Never give up on myself and dream( there's is a light at the end of the tunnel) Never to work with others timeline( My case is unique in its own way) Extend a helping hand (we need each other to make the world a better place. The level of maturity I see here is undescribable. I think we have built good relationships and i foresee........ will leave the rest to the prophets and prophetesses in the house. Hands up to my friends, my brothers and sister from another mother, jester's and comedians that makes the forum worth visiting. My one cent. Keep your heads above water each time you feel the process is choking/draining/ stressing you out. Fam will always be willing to lend a helping hand. God bless U all for real. Always passing by,so I thought I should just call in and say hi. Just like going round sha. 3 Likes |

Good day house, pls I got ADR which I've responded to and status says "additional docs have been uploaded" but I checked later and saw "Your action is required"....I even got a mail to this effect but there's no 'request letter' on my profile, neither is there any new placeholder under 'submitted application'. Has anyone experienced this before? Should I just take it as a system glitch or I need to do something abt it? Thanks |

Glory be to God, I got my ielts result yesterday and it out as LRSW 8.5,7.5,7,7. It was my first attempt and I prepared for about 5 months. I could have written the exams earlier but I knew I had brush up some areas where I was weak. I learnt every single thing about the exams on this forum. I knew I could not afford to fail because that means I would need to pay 68k + 4k (for courier) again, travel to and from my base to Ibadan twice and Lodge in hotel twice so I started reading the posts of those who passed to learn what they did and more importantly, those who failed and learn from their pitfalls (no offence intended). I felt like registering in May but deep inside me I knew I was not yet ready as my listening was still weak. I intensified efforts by downloading over 50 YouTube listening tests, downloaded Cambridge books 1-12. Diagrams in listening was another headache for me so I downloaded about 25 mainly diagram tests from YouTube. For reading, I started with Cambridge books but someone mentioned ielts buddy and I decided to give it a trial and it was a life-saver for me because it was there I first learnt the trick that I don't need to understand all parts but to pick answers from the passages (please ensure that you understand this concept well before adopting it, I can't explain everything here). For speaking, I downloaded about 20 band 8 speaking videos from YouTube and I also used ieltsallears anchored by 2 funny ladies ( just use google) However, I neglected writing. Though I practiced writing some letters and essays, I did not take time to practice enough and learn the format for each type of letter and essay. Let me state at this point that I am not that good at English I am just average at the language but I knew that if my immigration dream will ever come true I had to cross the ielts bridge and I put my mind at it. I learnt every single thing I know about the test from this place. On the test day, I was one of the 1st sets of candidates to get to exams venue at 6:00am and with sanitation exercise in place I didn't want to take any chances. My writing was a mess because I had to cross several parts in the essay part and some grammatical errors eg sensor instead of censor. Please endeavor to use pencil in your writing as it makes your job neater. In conclusion, I prayed and committed the test in Gods hand. in my mind I thought I would fail the writing test but God did it for me. God that did it for me will give everyone preparing for the test enviable result. Part 2 Please my Executive MBA transcript has been hanging at OAU for about 3 months now. I would appreciate any link please. it has been giving me head ache. Kindly help a brother out. 14 Likes |

Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by MummyJaygirls: 1:48pm On Aug 12, 2017 |
kissoflife: a) Yes, someone can pick on your behalf. b) You are to write a letter of authority to British council to release ur result to the person( the letter should have ur candidate details, date of the exam and passport details). Items required are a copy of your passport data page, his/her passport data page (or any ID available) and the authorization letter 4 Likes 1 Share |

dammysanmi: Tick "No" and put her work experience in the "Personal History" section. Her work experience neither adds nor subtract from you since it is not Canadian work experience. However, you may wish to note that fact in your LOE i.e. that you filled work history in your EE profile but you have filled "No" post-ITA because it is not Canadian work experience. All the best bro! 3 Likes 1 Share |
