Good one, Charlie. I am a fellow Onye Igbo and I totally agree with u. We have formed a group called ADN (Association of Detribalised Nigerians) and just by your expressed views you are already a member. We believe the haters, tribal jingoists, and separatists are actually a small but very vocal minority. Our aim is to wake up the sleeping giant of vast majority of Nigerians who are capable of loving their tribes without hating other tribes or wanting separation from them. 7 Likes |

I agree with Charley Boy. The problem with Nigeria is a cultural, institutionalized and probably mental problem. I mean, sure, Igbos are suffering in Nigeria. But you would think Yorubas, Hausas, Fulanis, the Niger-Deltans and all other tribes are enjoying. Well if you think that, you probably aren't in Nigeria. Go to Lagos and pretty much every other big city in Nigeria. You find Hausas being water carriers and gatemen (not security guards which are, apparently, different), suya sellers and so on. Yoruba's don't have it much better. Have you seen the touts in the South West or the ritual killers? Do you hear of the crimes being committed by Nigerians abroad? If it's not an Igbo man pushing drugs in Malaysia, it's a Yoruba man enmeshed in fraud. The Niger Delta youth appear to see militancy as a career prospect. Doesn't that tell us that no tribe really holds the advantage in this country? Our regional leaders keep telling us that every other tribe is taking advantage of us just so they can blind us to the fact that they are the ones ripping us off big time. And we swallow all of this hook, line and sinker and go online championing causes we haven't carefully considered. 6 Likes |

Where I fully agree with area fada is that even if Biafra is actualized, with this current mentality we have, we'll only have a new set of leaders to take us on a joyless ride, to point blames at everyone but themselves, to further divide us. How is it that we can go abroad and live with people who have totally different cultures from us and we would live in peace but right in our own country, we are being told that we can't live together with people with whom we've shared the same geographical location since time immemorial? Does it not make you wonder? 3 Likes |

smartty68: Marginalization and nepotism will never stop even if you guys get your so called Viagra sorry Biafra. After the Biafra some sections in IGBO land will still be marginalized and yet they will then clamour for another thing, you keep breaking away to form another nation. A country that keep breaking will keep getting smaller and poorer. Think about that, it's a food for thought. |

From deductive reasoning on his write-up, I can only deduce that Charly Boy is only interested in his Brand. His only point is that he does not want his 'brand' to become 'sectional'. I have to remind or may be educate Charly Boy of the following: 1. With Birth of Biafra as a Nation, your so called Brand will also be national and global, as Biafra is sectional while under Nigeria and becomes National when it becomes a Nation. Charly boy did not reason that out. 2. There are countless people who have fought and died to change the system and nothing seems to work, but IPOB has already altered the dynamics of the Equation and the Cons are already talking about 'fake' restructuring. For me, that is a plus. 3. Jonathan thought he could be loved by abandoning his own people and becoming National but was ridiculed and is still ridiculed. You can not live with people who hate you because of the tribe you were born into. 4. Charly Boy can not survive any where in Nigeria outside of Abuja as he has chosen to live by making mockery of his age in the name of civilization, he is just a very selfish fellow who does not care how his people fare. Biafra does not need Charly Boy, but Charly Boy needs Biafra. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Glocks: You don't get what he's saying. First off, you realize the Niger-Deltans have been clamouring for a change in the status quo almost as long as the Igbos, right? And what he is saying is not that there is something wrong with pushing for a change. He is just saying that we are pushing for the wrong kind of change. The change we are pushing for is not the type that would make our lives better or secure the futures of generations unborn. All we would get put of realizing Biafra is a new country but considering we still have the same mentality and we are still susceptible to manipulation, we'll only see a Nigerian story all over again, or even worse. The change we should be pushing for is mental; a change in the way we think, the way we approach governance and government, the way we respond to the activities of our elected leaders. That is the kind of change should push for and trust me, Biafra won't bring about that change. 3 Likes |

why are the Igbos bashing him? He spoke the truth. Biafra was dead on arrival, trying to ressurrect it will be detrimental. The Igbos have ended up pushing thier position from 3rd class citizen to 4th class in the country, because i don't see any tribe that will take an Igbo man seriously in politics, business, or position of authority. Nigeria is an indivisible country. |

[quote author=modik post=59408318]Area Fada, Let me remind you of something: YOU CANNOT WAKE UP A MAN WHO PRETENDS TO BE ASLEEP. Other suffering Tribes, but the Igbos are happy suffering and supportive of their Elite and affluent political oppressors. Your experience at Abuja is highly instructive. Your brand cannever be localized if you champion the course of Biafra. My opinion (/quote) Sorry dear, there are many ways to wake up whoever that is pretending to be asleep. Use cold water on him or even try small fire under his sleeping mattress. What if you irritate his ear with better resetting slap? 1 Like |

fumiswtpusy: we know your type you are full of hate, what else do you want to hear charly boy as laid it bare and said the whole truth but you are blinded by your hate and tribal rhetoric. you ipob just talk without reasoning at all spewing your hate everywhere, the truth is when Biafra is established where would the Igbo man ply is trade when you have made every tribe in Nigeria your enemy your hate speech only resonate with jobless Igbo's on the street of the East. look at your logic trying to add the south south with your Biafra it can't work. no Southerner would want to join your hate campaign your repugnant and despotic campaign. because of cheap likes on nairaland idiots like you have put life's of Igbo's in the north at risk, you shout Biafra and there is no framework on how it would run after it is actualized I know you don't know the truth, but let me tell you as it is NK is a sponsored despot who is actually doing what he is told too even more than what he is told to do, he is actually getting paid handsomely but look at you, you are broke and marginalized while NK feeds fat on your stupidity there is no redemption for you, you are lost continue with your hate until it consumes you 1 Like 1 Share |

dlondonbadboy: Man will always man. Even if you get your so called Biafra. It is but just a temporary respite. After a while..... If your rich brothers don't love you enough to use whatever small resource to advance your course. What make you think they will do so when you have your own country. Woman weah sabi cook, na from small ingredient you take de know. Food weh go belle full person, na eye dem take de know. Its the poor igbos I fear for. Cus the rich ones are busy doing business with yourubas, Hausa, chineese, Portuguese.. Etc. Unlike like them, they understand that the whole world can technically be describe as one country. |

Glocks: Which other tribes re suffering? Better fa reality! The West and North have benefited from what you call slavery. The Niger-Delta re now aligning and development is moving towards there! Call it slavery! Your lots till date still abscond to the region of the slaves in thousands on monthly basis! The real slaves in Nigeria re Igbo's. They have benefited "Nothing" from Nigeria as they choose to be chest-beating instead of aligning. 1 Like |
