Biafra wil surely come one day. The Igbos are really committed to this cause and we frm the North hv already come to terms with it, hence the quit notice. Bt my problem with the Igbos is that they are less smarter than they taught they are, and worse is that they don't realize this. Let me explain, if after the civil war they still plan to secede, let's say in 2017, as d case is now, why did they invest their hard earned resources in other parts of the country? Why didn't they concentrate in their SE development wise? I still don't get it.
Look at d investments of igbo people in Jos, Kano, Kaduna etc, its incredibly massive, even bigger than the locals'. So wat planning is this? Now if they are leaving who wil buy those assets? Who has d resources lol

You don't get what he's saying.

First off, you realize the Niger-Deltans have been clamouring for a change in the status quo almost as long as the Igbos, right?

And what he is saying is not that there is something wrong with pushing for a change. He is just saying that we are pushing for the wrong kind of change. The change we are pushing for is not the type that would make our lives better or secure the futures of generations unborn. All we would get put of realizing Biafra is a new country but considering we still have the same mentality and we are still susceptible to manipulation, we'll only see a Nigerian story all over again, or even worse. The change we should be pushing for is mental; a change in the way we think, the way we approach governance and government, the way we respond to the activities of our elected leaders. That is the kind of change should push for and trust me, Biafra won't bring about that change.
no harm in trying. the ND has been clamouring for resource control, even their struggle has been selfish, based on personal interest once u get ur share the struggle ends. one thing people don't get is that in Nigeria to achieve what you want u must use force, unconventional and unorthodox means. Nigerian leaders do not like peace and rationality. if the same scenario in Nigeria plays out in Biafra, the people would resist it just as they are resisting this evil now.

You guys utter all these tribalistic comments because you enjoy the anonymity provided by social media. Let me ask you a question:

Would you be proud to make these comments or be associated with them if you were being interviewed for an international position for a multinational? Would you be proud to post these comments on your linkedin profile?

I just used that as a scenario. You should really consider if you want to be associated with these statements in several other scenarios where your image and what you stand for can be called to question. Social media is not as anonymous as you might think. Just think of the possibilities provided by hacking.

You know why I think the people won't resist it? Just do the same things Nigerian leaders have been doing and you're good to go. For instance, in spite of the fact that Jonathan was obviously a weak president and lots of his subordinates were robbing Nigeria blind, Igbos and the Niger-Deltans still supported him as one of our own! It's the same scenario that would play out because we still have this mentality and it's one of the things we should be fighting.

the cry of marginalization is also experienced by other ethnicity and tribes in Nigeria. what charly boy fails to understand is that despite the marginalisation being experienced by every tribe, only the Igbo's are challenging the evil sufferings imposed on this country by evil politicians. while other tribes prefer suffering and smiling. wallowing in penury but yet does nothing, but when the Igbo's come out to fight this evil instead of the scared tribes to support them they castigate them and support their oppressors. the clamour for Biafra is simply because other tribes are ready to suffer and smile in Nigeria but not Igbo's.

One thing you fail to realized from Charley Boy's discussion is that "the biafran narrative needs to change". You don't expect people to support this your course with the way and manner you guys are going about it; abusing every tribe that catches your fancy, calling others animals living in the zoo called Nigeria. Is that what you want others to join you in doing? Of course not!

ALL the common peoples in the 500 tribes in Nigeria are victims of a failed system and persistent oppression.

A Biafra state is not going to change the players of the game, it will only exacerbate the sufferings of the victims of the game.

In conclusion, my people, let us dutifully work ourselves back into reckoning by fighting for Fairness, Justice, and Equality for all Nigerians; Not Ibos Only; Yorubas Only or Hausas Only but all Nigerians.

Word.

Eloquently spoken by a Truly Detribalized and Non-Self Centered Nigerian.

What way can be more painful than :

Recession

Flagrant disrespect to rule of law

Paying for darkness instead of electricity

Excruciating high rate of social vices

All (political) Promises Canceled

Unbridled looting of Common Wealth by powerful few

Police brutality and extrajudicial killings of harmless protesters

Political Godfatherism

And the list goes on.... ...

When will the pretentious slumbering citizens but Biafrans, wake up?

every tribe would surely support their own, because every tribe in power sees every failure as the work of enemies (other tribes). the same way buhari still had massive support despite being a total failure. this ethnic distrust would continue until there is equality, and justice in Nigeria because the current arrangement now is for one tribe to dominate.

Okay, let's take Biafra. Let's assume the Niger-Deltansare in on this project. If Biafra is actualized, well, there can only be one president who would either be Igbo or ND and whichever it is, the other would feel shortchanged and marginalized. Even if it's only Igbos in Biafra, you have Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu and Imo (I'm just realizing all the SE states begin and end with vowels) and there can only be one president from one of the five leaving the other four to moan and whinge about being left out of things. There is always a line we can be divided by.

I don't know why people thinks Nigerian tribes must be together as one nation before we can live together, you hear something like igbos cannot do without the hausas, that's the biggest lie ever told... Is Nigeria and US together? Are we not doing business and cohabiting? Are there no Nigerians millionaires in Ghana who will never relocate back to Nigeria? Is Emmanuel Adebayor not a Nigerian but nationalized to Togo and living his life... Let biafra go and igbos don't need to leave the north, but we will know them as foreigners If they are staying in the north, an hausa man in bayelsa will be known as a citizen of another country and everybody obeys the law where they are...

This country is not working we can see it clearly, we are not one, we can't be one and can never be...

The veracity of your claims are not farfetched. It was very obvious even during the elections. It takes an extraordinary Nigerian to vote outside tribal, ethnic or religious lines.
