Kayode signed a 4 year deal with Man City but will spend the first year on loan at Girona. I believe, he needs to set La liga alight if he wants a shot at the Man city first team.

I believe he will thrive in Leicester. He will get more games and will play a more natural position.

I hope so too. Maybe against less tough sides Leicester City might play in a more decent fashion.

Leicester is not a club with lots of money swirling around.

When they buy a player they expect him to deliver NO DELAY, very quickly he must adapt and or modify his game to suit the circumstances.

That will be the expectation of the manager, the club and the fans.

This is exactly what I am talking about.

I heard Monaco was also interested in Nacho and I felt that was the best place with the way Jardim helped the growth of quality young talents.

He is back with a bang! I'm enjoying this.

Lokeren 0-1 Awoniyi(Mouscron)

Why are u this excited? I thought these young lads should be headed for Turkey for mega bucks ahead of Belgium for better development?

He should sever ties with Liverpool to remain in Belgium so as to develop his career because jumping from one club to another in the name of playing opportunities while riding on the tag of big English club (like Omeruo) as a parent club won't help him at all.

Last season, Bosz and Jardim of Monaco and Ajax showed you do not need to spend big to build a quality squad and play good football. Lack of money should not be a reason for a club to sit deep almost all the game.

Leicester system suck?

You expected them to have dominated play against a team like Arsenal at the emirates stadium?

Besides what we saw Leicester play last night was typical of how they have been playing even the season they won the league.

See I don't expect Iheanacho to emerge a player with the highest goals or highest number of assists this season. I expect to see a descent showing. I expect him to have a better run of games unlike last Season.
I expect his number of goals to hit at least a double digit.
I need him to come to the 2018 WC as a player fit and ready to compete at that level.

I don't know what your own expectations are that you have already started condemning the Leicester system.

Their system always sucked but it was more obvious watching it yesterday trying to see how they could be decent.

That is why I am totally against a player moving to any club for game time. His development and growth as a player should lead the decision. I hope Nacho makes a good deal off this but as you already know, it is a system that is not built to bring the best off him.

Even players signing for top clubs with quality around them hardly hit the ground running with no delay. Then Leicester City wants to play long ball and sit deep. Then they want a player to hit the ground running with no delay.

Their team suits a defensive minded player. They should go and learn how to play ball.

Kelechi is close to getting the English passport, no way he will leave England now. That was the thinking behind not going to Monaco or Dortmund

Those fans should spend more time convincing their team to adopt a better playing strategy. If Bournemouth and Swansea can play well, why can't them.

Chai!!

But that pattern saw them win the 2015/2016 EPL title and took them to the quarter finals of the 2016/2017 UCL.

For Shakespeare to have gone for Iheanacho he definitely felt he could fit into the team's philosophy. Whether this turns out to be or not depends on both the player and coaching crew.

That is my problem with the managers and advisers of these young men. Is English passport more important than having a chance of becoming a football great?

His development and growth should come before English passport.

Will Eto'o change his standing in the game of football for a British passport?

As I said, we will see how they set-up against smaller teams but that system of play Leicester City is known for is not the kind of system to groom a top quality talent.

I am interested in players developing fast than just suiting a system.

I am sure you know there are no small games in the EPL. You saw what Burnley did to Chelsea, Watford drew Liverpool, Huddersfield beat Crystal palace and even Arsenal struggled to beat Leicester City.

Even when you play a team at the lower end of the table you aim at claiming the 3 maximum points and also boost your goals difference.

Almost every game would be like a cup final.

Where teams use fringe players are cup games.

He shouldn't have moved to leicester then.

It is more of a personal choice but I prefer young promising creative/attacking talents playing under Coaches that embrace attacking style of play. It helps the players have more chances to show their quality.

Look at Dortmund for instance. You can expect five or more great scoring chances in each game.

In Leicester City, most of the few created chances falls to Vardy.

A 4-4-2 offensive strategy with Nacho pairing would have been more ideal. Or a 4-3-3 offensive set-up.

I hope Nacho excels there but the system does not look promising.

Maybe Leicester City looked that bad because Arsenal is a team that holds the ball well and are dangerous when attacking.

Maybe Leicester might look better to me in their next game. I will watch closely and give an updated verdict.

I do not expect Leicester City to set-up their team the way they did against Arsenal when playing teams like Burnley or Crystal Palace. Arsenal is on another level. I hope they play with more bravery in games against less tough oppositions.

Unbelievable!

So you would have preferred Iheanacho continued with the same treatment he received last season at City?

Only drills and no real action.

I prefer Iheanacho working and training in an expansive, possession-heavy attack system than training and playing in a pack bus system.

Also, if Playing time is a priority to him, then select a team known for bringing up quality young attacking players and plays a refreshing system.

It is only clubs like Barcelona and Bayern Munich that can dominate Arsenal at the Emirates stadium.

Leicester attacked Arsenal a lot and looked really threatening until the tactical changes made by the coaches.

Leicester were not that poor overall. They are an attacking side.
It is only Arsenal and Manchester City that play the way they do. English football is typically kick and follow.
Leicester had a good game if you ask me.

It is not like ALL do not step up. MOST do not step up.

From that list you stated name the ones that represented their countries at U17 level.

Off the top of my head, Ronaldinho and Fernandinho played U17. Aguero might not have represented his country at U17 but about that age he was already a quality talent and played in the 2005 U20.

My point is most quality players today were quality young talents in their teens. From Hazard to Neymar, CR7, Messi, Torres, Eto'o etc.

Note, he was talking of U21.

Their attack came from sitting deep with most of their players behind the ball and attacking by hitting the ball long to Vardy. They can create multiple chances with the system but creative players suffer because of lack of support around them. It takes exceptional brilliance on the ball to make something off it.

As I said, maybe playing Arsenal is what made it look so awful.

For your mind, na double standard oh

The truth is every player's journey can't be the same. Different circumstances. Omeruo has been in Chelsea, he should have read the handwriting on the wall long that his future/chances there is very slim.

I think player agents should look at their specific situation (also considering their playing style and the clubs that will help them) and lead them in the right next step to take.

The Belgian league is good for our younger players to gain game time and confidence. But there is no guarantee going forward.

Awoniyi hit form late in the Dutch league last season. It's a great thing that he is continuing well in Belgium already.

I'm not a fan of Turkey.. I don't understand the reason for your whining. What works for A will not necessarily work for B. Every player and their own journey.

Modified
And let me add. With what is happening to Solanke and Ejaria, Awoniyi may just be in the right parent club.

I cannot believe you guys a are arguing about a ten minute cameo. What the hell is "he was signed for blah blah million and is expected to hit the ground running..." What of Morata that was signed for 70 million and lost a penalty in an important game? So, Chelsea fans should kill him?

Kelechi no even lose penalty, he was subbed in wrongly and I doubt he scored an own goal, so, what are you all arguing about?

Craig Shakespeare was subbing in a striker when Leicester needed defenders and shiiit went wrong, so, Kelechi should have right the wrongs ni?

Like Joebie said, it is much too early to be making comments on Kelechi, irrespective of what thegoodjoe said, so oga icon4s, I do not expect you to take goodjoe's bait, komekn, I can wholly understand though. Na so he dey do, bait or no bait.

However, if we are to discuss a player's performance, I believe Tammy Abraham, who played Swansea's full 90 minutes should be discussed....that is if any of you watched the game

I look forward to this season's EPL, so far, I love how the big clubs are struggling against the minnows. The season could have a surprise winner
