Hahaha...I never knew my woman had to take permission from me in a written form before she cuts her hair.

I don't understand that part of marriage.
Well, you may be cool with your wife if she comes home one day with her hair shaved off but I think it's appropriate to inform one's husband before doing so.

Even an unmarried lady needs to take permission from her boyfriend before cutting her hair else she shouldn't complain when her bf start chasing other ladies with full hairs.
As a guy, I don't really like keeping beards but since I met my present girlfriend, I stopped shaving off my beards because she likes it a lot. I even asked her for permission to reduce my afro hair and she said I should leave it like that and I obeyed cos she always obeys my own instructions as regards her body.
Relationship is the prelude of marriage, so whatever we want in marriage should start from our relationships.
Nice one bro

Of course ill expect her to inform me. Just like I'll do the same if I want to cut my beards.

But at the same time I won't stamp it on her as an authority. If I'm not cool with it I'd let her know and why but if she insists with her own genuine reasons I can't compel her not to do as she pleases.

Guys here are making it sound like they have total control of her. So even if they say no, she is expected to obey even when it's against her wish. In my honest opinion it's not supposed to be like that.

If my wife is not cool with me shaving off my beards and I really want to, I still would shave it off regardless of her say, but of course I would have made her see reasons why I decided to cut it and follow up my decision despite what she says.

When subjected to a particular condition, people react differently to it so don't blame anyone who thinks otherwise.

Aren't we all sharing opinions? At the end of the day I won't be in your marriage neither will you be in mine so there's no blame here.

It depends on the kind of husband the lady get married to. Some men are cool with any hairstyles as long as she maintains her level of beauty which won't stop catching his attention.

Though seeking permission to cut your hair from your husband irrespective of whether he is a liberal, indifferent or blunt person shows respect on her path which is somewhat necessary to seek his consent first.

As for me, if I know my wife to always be on weavon or braid hairstyles but one day she suddenly go on low cut without informing me, I would get confused.

Am I begging him to be in a relationship with me If he doesn't want it, its his loss not mine. He hasn't even married me and he's already overbearing, abeg he should carry his pompous ass and park in one corner undecided I will not complain at all, just break up and that will be that.

And yeah, I'm on lowcut and I decided to do it for personal reasons, I told my boyfriend but he didn't have a say in the overall outcome.

Do I regret it? Nope

Are you really sure of this? If your man decides to break up with you, is he really the one losing and not you? Pls think again. What if you move to a new relationship and still get dumped? Don't you think the having so many break ups in your life can affect you psychologically and otherwise? What about your reputation? You think getting dumped by several guys won't ruin your chance of ever getting married? Anyway, I'm not expecting you to give answers to all my questions but think about each of them.
From what you said about your low cut, I can deduce that your guy doesn't have a say with whatever you do with your body. But take it or leave it, that relationship is not based on mutual love. Oh, wait a second, Have you ever fallen in love with someone? If you have, I don't think you'll say some of the things you said above. If you really love your guy, you'll care about his feelings towards you and consider his opinions, or don't know that what you do with your body can affect his feelings towards you? If your man smokes weed drinks a lot and draw silly tattoos on his body, I am sure you'll have a say and expect him to listen to you. But he's doing it to his body after all.
I'm not saying all these particularly to women. Same is applicable to men. When there's mutual love between two people, each of them cares about the other person feels towards their actions. If you can't do this while in a relationship, you won't do it even in marriage.

No he's not. Concerning taking permission from BOYFRIEND to cut hair is plain stupidity.

Like I don't want to make my hair again and I want low cut, I need his fucking approval? I can tell my boyfriend, but I'm not obligated to or need his approval.

Nobody is saying you are obligated to your boyfriend's opinions. But if you are seriously in love with him, you'll certainly care about his feelings towards your body and your actions. If he's the type that cares about your feelings and considers your opinions about his actions, you'll consciously or unconsciously seek his opinions and permission before doing certain things even on your body if you really love him and don't want to lose him. Your boyfriend doesn't own your body but if he is attracted to girls with long hair and you choose to shave your own away, what signal are you giving him?

I didn't expect you to answer my questions either. But what does chauvinism has to do with my comment? It is either you don't know the meaning of that word and how to use it or you didn't read my epistle to the point I said "I am not saying all these things particularly to women, same is applicable to men". Does that reek chauvinism?
Next time, even when you think someone is writing nonsense, please try and read the whole nonsense before you comment on it else you might be making the biggest nonsense with your comment.

And this your logic of being attracted to people's features is flawed. Like this hair in question, what if the lady undergoes chemo treatment and looses all her hair, will her husband/lover/boyfriend be justified when he goes after ladies with long hair because she has lost all of hers The point is, good, lasting relationships usually go beyond the superficial. After all the foreign weaves, makeup and artificials, who is she underneath? Is she happy to be in her own skin? Is she faithful to you? Is she supportive of you when you have nothing because believe me, that hair you're admiring cost bucks to make and maintain. If she values it more than she does you, she can go to any extent to make and maintain it.

One thing my man will know is, when I make a decision, it stands. Especially when it's about me. So if I say I'm not making my hair again and I tell you my reasons, you take it like that like it's your favorite strawberry ice cream.

What do you mean I can not apply the same logic to the male folks? Am I not a man? I said earlier that I used to shave off my beard in the past but now, am keeping it simply because my girlfriend likes it and doesn't want me to shave it. Does this makes me chauvinistic?
Anyways, you'll never see the point I'm trying to make here because you are so bent on winning this argument... But don't worry, I give up. So you win.

Yea... When you have an understanding man, you simply tell him why you are shaving off your hair and he understands and allow you to do it. But when you are doing it because it's your body and you have authority over it, then you are preparing yourself to fail in marriage. It is very possible that you'll handle your marriage the same way you handle your relationships. As a woman, the mentality of 'whatever I say, stands' hardly works in marriage and sometimes, relationships. Ask women that are happily married and they'll tell you it doesn't work. You can't expect everything you say to stand even if it involves your body because there's hardly any man that will allow everything you say to stand and still love you unconditionally.

You make your decision and it stands, he makes his decisions and they stand then the "oneness" in the marriage will walk away like.
