The police report is a good idea, because it would state the things missing along with the vehicle, including the wedding certificate... This is I assuming you mentioned the important documents in the car at the time of theft and statement writing at the police station. Otherwise, I see no reason why you should add it.

However, I have an issue, about a year ago my car was snatched by armed robbers and I lost some of my documents which include my marriage certificate. The marriage took place at RCCG in Ibadan and we were given the FORM E marriage certificate. I have tried getting it replaced, but its been to no avail. For proof of marriage certificate, I intend to make use of the following
1. AFFIDAVIT OF MARRIAGE
2. POLICE REPORT OF STOLEN VEHICLE
3. AFFIDAVIT OF STOLEN VEHICLE
4. LOE FOR ALL THIS
5. WEDDING INVITATION, WEDDING PROGRAMME (with our pictures), RECEPTION PROGRAMME (with our pictures)

I need your opinion on this, just want to know if this would suffice as proof of marriage. We also have two kids.

Hi Kyaggy, its been a while but i can give a rough idea. First is to visit the British council website to register where you will be given FULL instructions to make the payment. If you run internet banking, you can do the entire thing even while abroad. Upon successful registration you will receive instructions on a very long document.

Good thing is i saved mine as PDF then so i just cropped out the payment part so you can get an idea and to help others.

Thanks for calling my attention to this. I also have some errors on my RCCG issued marriage certificate and they have not been able to help so far, they will keep telling you to go to Ebute Metta, and Ebute Metta will say Ministry of Interior. @40manlappy have been helpful, and we finally decided to use an affidavit to address those errors.

Let us try as much as possible to advise people without sounding too harsh, If she feels she has gotten it right, she won't be here asking questions. I hope more people can chip in on this.

Thanks for responding, yes, the police report lists the marriage certificate as one of the missing documents, that was why I thought about including in it in the first place. Maybe I will try harder with both the church and registry and see where that gets me before concluding on what to do.

Tick "No" and put her work experience in the "Personal History" section. Her work experience neither adds nor subtract from you since it is not Canadian work experience.

However, you may wish to note that fact in your LOE i.e. that you filled work history in your EE profile but you have filled "No" post-ITA because it is not Canadian work experience. All the best bro!

Go on your school website and order your transcripts. Then when you're filling the address where they should send it to put your REF then WES address. They will charge you for it though. One school charged £5 while the other charged £12.
For the WES form, London Met asked for it so I filled it and emailed it to them while University of London sent the transcripts without the form and it was accepted.

For the certificate with you. I scanned and sent to my nephew in Canada to post for me but a lot of people have successfully faxed theirs here.

you mean the much you were charged is £12 (6000naira)? UNN charged me 35k for transcript, one would think overseas institutions would charge a foot and an arm for it.

I have a little challenge about this too. Some information was already filled in my personal history based on what I filled on my EE. Part of it however is much earlier than 10 years ago. Should I delete it and leave only the ones from 10 years ago?

Thanks boss. I have actually done the online registration. My challenge is that, I bank with UBA. The question is...
1. Can I do an online transfer from UBA to the British Council account or, does it have to be either or First, GTB and Zenith?
2. What's that stuff with reference number? Is it same reference number for all abi do I get another reference number?
3. Should I send someone to any of those banks or can I just look for someone that banks with the any of the mentioned banks?

I beg to differ. My IELTS report number started with 17 so also that of my husband and not 16. I want to believe 16 is for those who wrote in 2016 and 17 for this years test. (Not sure though). And our surname alphabets are just 3 as against 4 quoted by cochtrane. Following your Obasanjo Olusegun's example, I and my husband have '17NG00candidate numberOBAO150G.

Like cochtrane rightly said' do it at your own risk. I'll advice we all get our result and not do permutations.

In that case, if all attempts to obtain another copy fails, let me suggest a modification to the list of documents that you intended to submit as proof of your marriage as follows;

1. AFFIDAVIT OF MARRIAGE
2. POLICE REPORT OF STOLEN VEHICLE that listed the marriage certificate as one the missing documents.
3. LOE FOR THIS, properly worded, stating the efforts you have made to obtain another copy without success. If possible, attach an evidence. Can you get a letter from RCCG?
4. WEDDING PICTURES

IRCC agents have seen a lot of applications which I think may be a reason for their flexibility and reasonableness sometimes. Of course, each application is different

For example, there is someone whose 50% of POF is in her child's name. She has had the treasury bill (TB) for about 2 years and didn't want to liquidate it when she got ITA because maturity date was still far away.

She simply obtained 1 year bank statement of the account from where the TB was invested, the TB certificate, reference letter from the bank that indicated that she is the sole signatory to the account and added the birth certificate of the child showing that she is the parent.

She merged the aforementioned documents into a single file and supported with a properly worded LOE. The outcome? She got PPR without a single ADR!

Meanwhile, I haven't come across anywhere on CIC website where it is expressly stated that POF can be in your child's name. Do you catch my drift?

In this journey, we may need to be creative at times. Also, IRCC is comfortable with sworn affidavits. See screenshots below to buttress this.

Above all, it is necessary to entrust our applications into God's hands having done our "possible" best.

You can do it as well, if you book directly from the airline's website... The maximum you can hold it for is 24 - 48 hours.
