they lack ambition and this make them loose focus when they start receiving enough cash to take them and their family outta poverty.

Immediately an african signs for an European club. Their is this 'I've ARRIVE' Mentality that will definitely kick in and this often affect their development...
exactly
I have watched some clips on Ronaldo individual personal training and I have gone ask myself....why won't he be the world best. its like in school...where some students put more individual effort in their academic pursuit than others (reading extra hours etc) and as such it pays off

Let's wait and see how things develop. I have never seen a player reporting his own move while the clubs involved remain silent.
I hope he's not pulling an Odemwingie on us.
Take a second look at that picture and tell me it doesn't look doctored...

It isn't doctored. I have seen other views of it.

Also the player has not repoŕted anything. His public forums still show Austria Wien. This is coming from his wife's social media. She has no reason to put out false info. To what end?

This is from Austria Wien sporting director today. It looks like that picture is from his medicals:

'We are in contact with Manchester City, however it could take a few more days before the transfer is done. There is still a bit to do. He was at Manchester City yesterday and he had his medical with our permission'

So there are still some finishing touches to the move.

It is a strange signing to be honest. For a guy who was recalled to the Brazilian side November last year, since then he's played like 2 or 3 games for his national team.
Bar Messi and Suarez, this Barcelona team is as average as they come. The raft of average players they have there is just stratospheric. Gomez, Alcacer, Mathieu, Turan, Dinge, Vidal and now Paulinho. Messi will need to have a breathtaking season for them to come 3rd.

I have to agree, the standard has fallen.

It's alright. Let's say the poor quality of the picture came through the lenses of a poor camera phone.

My initial thought anyway was that this was a transfer bait and switch game to lure Newcastle to pay up for his services.

Why Man City though? Even if pep called him.

Is this not about money again? He would have had the chance at the premier league. Instead, he will be battling relegation with Girona.

And the fact that he is not a big name signing will make it hard to break into the Man City team. He will have to score 15 + goals and save Girona from relegation. Even that will not guarantee him a Man city spot.

Exactly, when u get suspended or injured there is a big chance u will lose ur spot owing to the good performance of ur replacement but in this case that is not what happened.

Hw are u so sure Girona will face relegation. Eibar came into La Liga last season as a charity case and they still were in the race for an Europa league spot.

I have always seen him as a player whose style is suited for the Spanish game. If he becomes a big hit at Girona, he could transfer to a good Spanish team like Villareaal or even Athletico Madrid. If Man city choose to sell.

In a way, this could turn out to be a good deal for the Super Eagles since he's guaranteed playing time at Girona in a season preceeding the world cup (if we qualify). A very good season in the La Liga almost guarantees him a starting shirt for the national team.

At first I thought this was a bad movie but when I sat down to think about it I figured out some things.

This is a brilliant move for the player and for the Super Eagles. While Pep is selling Iheanacho(and putting his buy back clause at 50mill which we know no European team will pay for an African), Pep is making a direct phone call to Kayode. Players like Kayode have always been an integral part of Pep's strategy, players of average height who can press like 2 men so that his main man can conserve his strength and do damage at specific times, Henry pointed this out long ago. In Barcelona it was Pedro, when Ibra came it was either he or Messi was going to start pressing for two and Ibra wasn't ready hence the reason why he was sold and Pedro kept his spot all through. At Bayern he had Douglas Costa and when he wasn't around, Muller was instructed to press so that Robben can be free to attack and conserve strenght. But in Man City he has no one, Sterling is a fraud but he remains relevant because he can press, Aguero doesn't press, Jesus neither and both players would rather drop deep and help develop player. Pep did try to improve Iheanacho's pressing abilities so he can be the workaholic but it never worked out hence the reason why he was sold not loaned. Naturally if Pep still wants you, he will loan you to a possession based team( Rafinha to Celta, Borjan to Ajax etc). So him loaning out Kayode to a coach with a similar philosophy shows that he intends to use him so this is a brilliant move.

What Pep will like about Kayode is his high energy style. He keeps running all game. He will fit into the pressing game of Pep but what about other aspects of his game.

Well he is more clinical than Pedro for example and he is 24, besides 24 goals in a season isn't bad, put him in City and he will return up to 25 goals I am sure.

Also you know City creates the most chances, if he presses in and around the 18 yard box, saved shots will continue to fall for him to tuck home, I mean that's the definition of a fox. I actually see a bright future for the lad, and I think Man City want to keep it lowkey to avoid top teams hijacking the move because honestly if you get Kayode for 15million, that's a bargain

I'd have to disagree with you on this.

Liverpool were ready to pay £68 million for Nabi keita of Leipzig.

If borrussia Dortmund would sell aubameyang, he won't cost anything less than £70 million.

don't mind them jare. The painful part is that such attitude mask their potentials in the early stage of their careers.

The pissing part is that Nigerian players get satisfied easily as long as they are professional player.

These guys need to be hungry! Hungry for more-that's the only way to stay top and ahead of one's peer.
