I'll suggest you wait a while, say 15 weeks upwards and do a scan to know if your cervix is in good shape first. I was given same advice by my doc, no rough sex pls.

I wish i am actually announcing my BA right now....my consultant came in when I was already prepared to be taken to the theatre and said they will still have to manage my bp till 36weeks...he said he doesn't want me having a baby that will stay in an incubator so I'm being monitored every minute and every hour...so hopefully I will announce my BA next week, main while I still have to remain on admission till I put to bed...

On a lighter note, as soon as I was told this early morning that I was to have a CS I suddenly developed the urge to poo, before I knew it is still visiting the toilet every 20 mins....I suddeyou felt nervous and scared and it was affecting my bowel... the people in the same ward with me where just laughing at me...I never knew a time will come and I will be scared of CS..

It's normal to b scared esp wen it's ur first time. I could remember wen I underwent CS, I was so scared cos of stories I'v heard on Hw d mother slept off n went to d oda side. Buh wen I heard oda mothers who were undergoing CS type of birth for the second n third times and reassuring me dt the team (surgical team) is awesome n dey don't use d sleeping system I calmed down. Wen I was taken to the theater, see petting.. They asked me abt my favorite fd even music, I told them I would luv to listen to old school rnb Blues. Even wen I was feeling dizzy, my jisting surgeon partner jst called my name dt my baby is very beautiful, immediately I heard dt I was soo awake, alert n happy. Jst cancel every negative whisper n v d mindset dts it's for the good of urself n ur beautiful baby. It's well wth u.

If it's a GH, you would be given a notification of birth of some sort, then you would be directed to the local government council to get the birth certificate.
Go along with the child. We always do ours on our first immunisation day.

You do not need a sewing machine, just brush up on your hand sewing skills. all you are doing is adding a few pieces to a finished garment so it is mimimal sewing. Sewing machine is nice to have but not essential.


I ask if you are in lagos because i may have a few items either new or very sparingly used ( dd got lots of presents and hand-me -downs from her older cousins and in all honesty even if i have another girl, i may not get to use them much) If you would like them. I can try to have them in Lagos before christmas and you can arrange pick up from there. You can send me a pm.

Ask around when you go for immunization. The birth certificate people always come around on immunization days both at my hospital and at the PHC

Everyday new things keep comming up due to the high risk pregnancy, I've taken every drug many doctors have prescribed....almost every doctor in ikorodu knows me now and I'm afraid for my baby.....please i need to know what it wld look like having my baby at 35weeks so that I can just get a CS done this weekend

I had my first son at 35 weeks. He stayed in an incubator for only 1 night as the paediatrician wasn't around as it was an emergency cs and a weekend but once she saw him she removed him from the incubator. The only thing is that he had to stay for phototherapy as he had jaundice. He was tiny initially but he has grown and more than surpassed his milestones. Don't let your heart be troubled. Keep praying speaking good confessions. He will be okay.
