They are playing mind games. They're coming for Martial because we're bidding for their player. In other words, back off or we do a PSG

I laughed when i read that. If you don't have Arab money you can't try that with United. We will simply offer Harry Kane, Alderweireld, Dembele and Dele Alli THREE times what Spurs wage structure can afford to pay them.

How much do you think Martial is worth? I don't think they have bought any player this transfer window, therefore Walkers money is intact. Add that to whatever they got from finishing second and from qualifying for champions league. It's Martial we're talking about here not Mbappe or Neymar

Leicester?

My point exactly.

"The only thing I have is to work every day like I do It's the only thing that I demand of myself. Give everything - I give everything. And then normally the results are a good consequence of that work, but I don't put pressure on myself to do this or that.

"Today we had a free morning and we have training at 3 o'clock but I arrived here at 9.30, and from 9.30 until now, I was not having a tea. I was working hard and the training session will finish at 5 o'clock and probably I will leave here at 8 o'clock or a bit earlier to go to the hotel to watch Arsenal against Leicester.

"My dedication to my job is always the maximum, even more than when I started. At the end of the season, we will see the results, but I look forward to the season with optimism, with enthusiasm. I want to play West Ham, a difficult match, then I want to go to Swansea, a difficult match.

"I want the Champions League to start. I want, I want - I am on fire!"

“When I joined Manchester United last year, I thought immediately that we needed a kind of Matic. There are not many – there are just a couple – but I thought that.

“But I was not thinking of it because I always thought I never like to go to players that I think are an impossible mission, and I felt there was no chance.

“Then this season, when I got the call that Matic wants to play for me and for Manchester United, and he can make it happen, I thought he’s the perfect player for me. Not just for his qualities but also for my relationship with him, the way I know him, the way he knows me.

I think he’s one of these players where there are no question marks in front. He doesn't need time to adapt, he’s not a young guy who came from another country, he’s not somebody that needs to learn the Premier League.

“He’s a player of, I think, now 29 last week - 29 years old, with five years or so in the Premier League, lots of experience. He's one of these players that gives me what I like in players, which is consistency.

“Matic plays normally here [gestures to a height with hand], and sometimes a little bit here [adjusts hand slightly] and sometimes a little bit there [lowers hand slightly] but Matic is Matic.

“And that’s something I really like in players - consistency. It’s the way I trust the player is going to perform, so I think it was a fantastic signing for us.”

“It’s very important [to make Old Trafford a fortress]. We’ve got to make sure that teams coming to Old Trafford this season know that they’re in for a tough game and know that they’re going to be under the cosh for a lot of the game.

“I think we got that back last year. I think teams definitely came to Old Trafford and feared us a lot more than in recent years, and we need to keep that momentum going.

“We’ve got a great squad now, with youth and experience, and hopefully that combination will serve us well.

There can also be an exciting 2-0 or 6-0 win don't you think?
An exiting 2-0 would mean West Ham play us well,I don't want that.

6-0 no go bad too West Ham Don do us dirty for sometime now.

Exactly.

Anyways, Spurs can keep playing "hard to get" with their players. Very soon, clubs ll also stop selling to them.

Baba, if then like make them sell the new white Hart Lane add to wetin dem get from player sales plus 2nd position, monetarily they can't compete with MANCHESTER UNITED....
Infact, no club that isn't owned by the Qatari govt can compete.

In today's market, and if we're been modest, Martial should go for around 60-70!! And dats just because he didn't ve a good season last season. If it was after his first season, then 90-100.

Afterall, Dortmund rejected 135m for Dembele. Wetin dat one play that warrants a 135m valuation??

There's no competition here, they're only bidding for a player that may be unhappy with his present situation.

And you think £60m is out of TTH reach? Well I don't think so.

Can you tell the Record Signing of Spurs and the Amount spent on him?!

Spurs ain't ready to break another Transfer Record on a Flop! The Reason they are too quiet in this Window!

The key is we do not have to (and we cannot be forced to) sell him. They can bid all they want, unless we are sure to get a good replacement JM won't allow him to go.

uhn... i think last season, we played a 1-1 game with them at our backyard bfr meeting them in the carling cup where we trashed them 4-1. The second leg ended 2-0 not until they're a man down after what looks like a controversial red card... Bfr then, it's so hard to play against them.

WestHam are strong even now that they've strengthened their squad with some nice purchase e.g Chicharito but they're still beatable if the coach can get his tactics right
with the right personnel from the lineup so that it wont be like the super cup...

I hope the team are on fire just as JM claimed he's on fire... Hopefully, we continue from where we stopped last season.

He actually did start both Rash n Luqs, but not in a 3-5-2 though.

This is more like a 4-4-2 or 4-3-3 with Mata and Mkhi swapping between SS and the right wing.

It is more or less a 4-3-3 formation if Rash wont partner Luqs upfront. Nevertheless, i dont always go with this formation not until i see them play on the field...

Nice line up thou

I think Mkhitaryan will play behind Lukaku as a No. 10.

Exactly. And subbing Mata for a defender can easily make it 3-5-2, which is solid both defensively and attack-wise
