One or two things might be affecting the battery performance. It might be the network in your area, probably not strong enough and causing your phone to search more intensively for signal. It might also be your usage pattern.
One tip from me, you can switch on battery saver, it will help squeeze out additional hours of SOT.
thanks br

I told u guys, going offline is not cheap and dats one factor dat makes their device affordable.

I saw dis on ur Miui forum were Xiaomi shared dis and i believe dat has proving my 2nd point that offline is d way too go

All my point of debate is now step Xiaomi is beginning to address, now it shows dey are ready for business

But price won't be dis cheap again few years to come if Xiaomi fully invest on offline as stated bellow

I must praise XIAOMI SHALL OH, D COMPANY get foresight and dey want to play big like
Samsung Apple Huwai oppo and others

Playin big comes with a premium price tag.........

Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi is seeing renewed growth, after suffering bruising setbacks at the hands of local competitors over the past two years. But sustaining this momentum comes at a high cost.

However, the most significant step Xiaomi took was rewriting its online business model.

To attract customers from all walks of life instead of just targeting digitally savvy users, Xiaomi will embrace brick-and-mortar retail, building 2,000 Mi Home outlets globally by 2019.

“If Xiaomi just sells online, its reach would be limited because a lot of people don’t want to buy until they try the devices hands-on,” said Canalys analyst Jia Mo. “With physical stores, its reach and appeal are much broader.”

However, retail expansion is still quite a challenge for Xiaomi, as brick-and-mortar stores don't come cheap, particularly for a company still struggling with razor-thin margins.

This means that Xiaomi, despite raising $1 billion in syndicated loans earlier this month, probably needs to raise more funds to sustain the retail push, says Canalys’s Jia.

“Xiaomi is right to go offline,” Wu said. “But the company needs to invest so much that it must be prepared to take on losses. Building physical stores represents a huge gamble.” Yet it is a gamble Xiaomi must make.

“Through those retail stores, Xiaomi not only wants to sell more phones but more smart devices,” Canalys’s Jia said. “So the company can have more potential customers who might buy its services.”

you need to go additional settings and check if you have developer option settings on ur phone (if no just tap miui version in the about phone settings for up to seven times and developer option will be activated) scroll to miui optimisation option and deactivate.. Ur phone will restart making you to see the data usage option in the settings

I strongly believe the culprit is automatic backup of your pictures.
Go to gallery, hold the left button, and uncheck ' backup automatically ' if it's on.

@gykes, why not use timer or voice recognition for selfie instead of fingerprint scanner? I think either provide more stability.

Haven't tried those, but I've been able to get good / less blurry shots using the fingerprint scanner.

I'll certainly give them a try. I'm not hugely into pics though
