You may not fancy the op's question but there's no need to be all defensive. When i am seen differently on the basis of my religion and you wouldn't approve my marrying of your daughter but you have no problem marrying mine, then either of us is a mumu. When you are quick to claim Southwest unity for political gains but that cohesion is thrown out of the window when inter-religious marriage moves comes up, then that's false unity. Discrimination is discrimination, no sugar coating. 5 Likes |

FFun:God bless you, my grandfather is a Muslim & died as a Muslim while my dad convert to Christian even before his father died. From my observation about Muslims, they see Christians as infidel & its laughable even when they know the origin of Islam. Muslims always thinks that their son marrying a Christians girls is a plus to their fold while their daughter marrying a Christian son is a minus to their fold of which they are completely wrong. Muslims are so aggressive & judgemental. 9 Likes |

JaffyJoe: There's no defensive tactics employed here. It's just meaningless engaging someone like the op cos it's proven from his posts that he is a religious bigot. Secondly, inter religious marriages occur often but it's bewildering that you expect every family to accept it. No one is criticising Christians for doing so neither is anyone tagging Christianity a problem. Op didn't create the thread to ask question. He simply did to troll and backslash the Muslims/Islam. |

ollah1:OLLAH THE POINT YOU YORUBA MUSLIM GUYS ALWAYS RAISE HERE IS THAT YORUBAS ARE "ONE" BE IT CHRISTIAN, MUSLIM OR TRADITIONAL WORSHIPPERS. YOU GUYS WENT ON TO GIVE ANOTHER EXAMPLE OF HOW BOLA AHMED TINUBU AND BABATUNDE RAJI FASHOLA BOTH MARRIED CHRISTIAN WOMEN... NOW MY QUESTION IS, DO YOU THINK THAT BOLA TINUBU AND FASHOLA WOULD WILLINGLY GIVE OUT THEIR DAUGHTERS HAND IN MARRIAGE TO A YORUBA CHRISTIAN 7 Likes |

BAILMONEY: Its only a stvpid and religious bigot that will ask this question. There are inter religious marriages in South West. You don't need to be comfortable with it. |

otitokoroleti:This is the major reason for the whole thing. As i'm typing this , i'm in a serious relationship with a moslem girl "Haleema " and the reason above is what she said will prevent us from marrying. A Christian girl marrying a moslem man a plus and a moslem girl marrying a Christian man a minus. She is serious saying Islam b4 marriage. For me it's bad and discriminatory. 8 Likes |

Ziluxger: By your logic, this doesn't happen in the Christian faith? Haven't relationships ended simply because the Christian girls refuse to marry their Muslim bfs? Why the hypocrisy when it happens the other way round? Oh yes, it's pretty bad and discriminatory but as usual the culprit is Islam. Is Christianity the culprit when Christian girls says Christianity first before marriage? |
Re: POLITICS 101:muslim Men! Would You Allow Your Sister To Marry A Non-muslim Man? by Nobody: 9:36am On Aug 14, 2017 |
otitokoroleti: It's funny when an educated person uses a fee scenarios to judge a large fold of people. I wonder the special hypocrity kinda blood that runs in the veins of some of you. Imagine the nonsense you wrote here. Pluses and minuses. When a Muslim girl marries a Christian guy, what would you consider that? A plus? When a Christian girl married a Muslim guy, what would you consider that? A minus? Your dad was a Muslim but converted to Christian at a latter point of his life, but you are a Christian and am sure you've got other Chrisitian siblings yet Muslims are aggresive and judgemental. Why didnt you dad ensure you are a Muslim? How many Christian father's will allow their Children to be a Muslim? You wouldn't call Christians names here. Only religious bigots thinks/writes like you. |
Re: POLITICS 101:muslim Men! Would You Allow Your Sister To Marry A Non-muslim Man? by JaffyJoe(m): 9:37am On Aug 14, 2017 |
ollah1: Certainly, not all families would sanction that. Even in other tribes like in the East, we hear all these Osu talks of someone from a particular area highly derided on and not allowed to mix socially with other clans but atleast that's a cultural issue which can be fixed in the longrun. This subject-matter is however a bit more complex because even if muslims in the Southwest decides to be more liberal about inter-religious marriage just to promote cultural unity, that would mean going against what is required of them in the Quran. personally, i had to forgo an awesome relationship to one muslim lady because of this one-way restriction. Where is the unity then? 3 Likes |

ollah1:religion is a thing of mind & I think we should change out mentality by trying to force our religion belief on people. Yes, Muslims are aggressive & I have no apology for that. I raised my point for reasons why Muslims parent don't allow their daughter marries Christians guys. You are just spewing dust here OK, give us your fact as stop beating around the bush. |
Re: POLITICS 101:muslim Men! Would You Allow Your Sister To Marry A Non-muslim Man? by Nobody: 9:43am On Aug 14, 2017 |
JaffyJoe: What does the Bible says about inter religious marriage? Aren't non Christians regarded as unbelievers in the Bible? How many Christian father's give her daughter's willingly to Muslim guys? The percentage of an igbo Christian marrying a Yoruba/Hausa Muslim is less than %5 yet Islam is the problem. What logic is this? |
