adebisola: adebisola: and what happens if/when the "verified" escrow goes rogue and scams people... Who would be held liable? Who does the verification...? The best thing is to have your own strategies to counter the scammers, check transaction history of whoever you intend to deal with; if you are still not comfortable with the person...., DONT DEAL or deal at your own risk You can also approach pple you've dealt with b4 and trust personally to escrow for you |

agarawu23: the issue of MAN IN THE MIDDLE is complicated and trust me bro advocating man in the middle especially for online business can be disastrous, i bet maybe kaboninc hasn't been in that situation before ... almost everyone has been involved in one mitm or the other ... there are things to consider when doing MITM and if the answer is no for all those things, then your days are number, every tom, dikk and harry can be doing mitm especially online doing mitm for stuff like AGC,PAYPAL,PAYONEER,BITCOIN etc is so so wrong abd i wouldnt recommend it.. this is the second time you will be saying it's not a bad thing to be involve in MITM but what you failed to notice is that you are mentioning RMB,USD .. those are traceable and if anything go wrong you know who to look for ... can that be said for AGC and IGC? ... this thing is relative and people should know law guiding MITM ... I DO MITM alot ... but only for goods that are traceable not all those silly paypal agc and igc bla bla bla MITM has been in existence for a while before most of us are born ... it was sweet because it's physical goods ... but doing MITM for digital goods is not a good idea ... i do mitm and i know people to do it with, i know people that can wait a week .. but not on digital goods, mitm doesnt work on digital goods and @kaboninc you are getting the whole situation wrong , in business there is not like pity, YES there is grace ( grace of when the goods or money will be remitted back) ..but take for example You sell me bitcoins and someone i dont know contact me telling me to send first, i didn't bother to research about the person, then i sent the goods you sent to me to him without researching whether i can trust the kind ..so you are still going to pity me for my stupidity ? ... i must pay back and ASAP not dragging foot ... i know you and agarawu23 very well, you wouldn't be in a situation where your money will be hanging especially strangers ... in as much as it is very wrong to label people who default a scammer it is also wrong to support mitm for digital currency .. you know who you can do mitm with and i do too .. that doesnt make it safe 1 Like |

SECONDLY i don't know how some people reason oo ... let's look at this scenario i come to nairaland to advertise that i need AGC @300/$ ... then a guy slide to my whatsapp and tell me he has agc for sale @300 ... then i ask silly question "is this card legit?" wait.. what do you expect him to say? .. oh that he used a stolen funds or CC to buy it? it is ridiculous to say the least that the mods are eve mediating in this matter IGC mean iTunes Gift Card .. AGC means Amazon Gift Card ... and you want to tell me all thos 3000$ agc and igc is gift from someone ? the buyer and the seller is thief as far as im concerned and i don't think anybody should mediate in their matter ... because deep down when buying those funds we know they aren't safe ... i personally if i am selling agc ( which i wont sell) to you @290-300 and you agreed, then you loaded it and it entered , then the next day you asked me to refund you ... i would never do that .. if you need legit GIFT CARD .. you know where and how to get it ... if any of these gift card go wrong i dont think anybody should mediate in the matter because both the buyer and the seller are thief ... payoneer and paypal is still okay ... we all know the risk we are taking trading all these currencies and i think you should bear the cross and find a way to retrieve your money don't come here and be forming saint like you were scammed ... 99% of these gift card is bought with stolen cc, it doesnt matter if you bought on paxful and don't tell me the one with reciepts are cool too ..they are not please i am tired of reading through 20 pages every day . 7 Likes 1 Share |

Singapore1: Lol Bro, there is nothing wrong with brokerage. Like I said, 90% of the world's trade are brokered by middle man. Even guys you know very well can abscond with your money. So its is all about risk. And yes, I have had my own fair share of nasty experience as a middle man. Even the guy I eventually sold to, I have not met him and will still have some unresolved issues. But can I label him a scammer? No. And there are some deals I can broker especially low risk deals. But that does not mean that MITM is a wrong business route even in the digital world. Today we have the internet and as powerful as it is, it has made us come close enough, bringing business closer each day. That is why I can trade with guys in US, China and Japan. That is why you trade your bitcoins with bittrex but still, there is always a risk. We should not condemn MITM at all in anyway. Those of us who have been in the business community, especially financial services would never have that kind of idea. The issue still remains, TRADE SAFE and do your DUE DILIGENCE 5 Likes |

justi4jesu: If you can accept being labelled a scammer, for a crime you did not commit, then that is for you. After all, some of the richest men today did not become rich by looking at the tree. And all of them borrow money to run their businesses. You guys should not mix things up. You broker a deal, a legitimate deal, it goes south, you then will be called a scammer? Too bad. You can take responsibility but not be labelled a thief. Only if you know that you can be sued big time for falsely accusing someone. Go to the real world and do real business then you will know how business is run. And you will also know that the bank you give your money is a broker and they can also fold too. I just have to feel pity and if there is a way I can help recover the money, I will do so. That is just me. I don't have to pay for it madam. I can even support if I so wish. 3 Likes |

Singapore1: Anything PayPal, skrill, netteller, payoneer, AGC, GCE, neco, waec, jamb,iTunes etc, I don't do it, in fact, I don't have account for those stuffs. I won't even stand or vouch for person with the listed cos of their after trade palava . I do things that can be traceable as u stated and I don't think I have gat any issues with anybody for the time being here. I take responsibility for any deal I am into and make do with what I get and move on....... I think that's what keeps one's business moving. I don't bite more than I can chew. |
