MRSDA: I've just recently stumbled upon this medical ish. They give them a fairness letter first and they have to prove they won't be a burden on the Canadian government and then their file is reviewed based on what they've submitted and a decision is made. All the same its very heartbreaking as the whole point of this journey is to give one's family a better life. Are they already at the decision stage or fair hearing stage? http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/medic/admiss/excessive.asp |

Good day house, I am a fresh poster, however, I have been going through almost all post on the thread. I will be diving into the pool soonest( Pool of Bethseda ) Done my IELTS...good score CLB 9; WES almost complete. I need advise on few things as I beleive I WILL receive ITA as soon as I create my profile(I would have anyways if I created the profile before last draw). Now the issue is this. I have a baby on the way ( say Nov/Dec). 1. Should I go ahead with the profile, in case i get ITA shortly after will I be able to add the new baby even after ITA and Submission od app. 2. What document can I start preparing while I enter the pool and wait ITA. 2 Likes |

MRSDA: Hi – I felt moved after reading this and I can only imagine how the family feels right now. I pray for strength for them and healing for the lil one. I did a quick research after reading your post and found the following advise / questions – Did your friend receive a fairness letter? If so, he/she has three choices – (1) Ignore and receive a rejection letter (2) Challenge it i.e. do your homework because you must present everything to CIC and convince them (3) Provide CIC with a plan to mitigate the cost i.e. evidence that the lil one will not be a burden on the health system For points (2) & (3) stated above, I will advise your friend presents a detailed information back to CIC, including a comprehensive mitigation plan (private insurance and a medical reimbursement plan to cover 100% of costs). Furthermore, to challenge the medical opinion, your friend will need letter(s) from doctors stating that the ailment is being managed or can be managed. Your friend can argue that he/she can mitigate the cost should it arise. The case law here is a bit foggy, but your friend must be able to demonstrate a plan to convince the VO. A good PoF can help here too. Finally, I'd strongly suggest your friend uses an attorney with experience in medical inadmissibility in preparing his/her response. I’m sure not all the attorneys out there are shylocks. I really pray all goes well, Amen. 16 Likes |

bbaby84: I think they contested but lost the case or they gave up. It is definitely sad because like you said the whole point really is to have a better opportunity, especially for the children. After hearing the word medical inadmissibility, i then went to do a lot of research on it and I found out that canada is quite strict. I guess the whole point is for the family to take care of the bills if need arises? I wonder.... 1 Like |

cochtrane: I am really grateful Cochtrane. You touched a lot of gray areas. Would this mean that property valuations would not be acceptable and as such I have to sell off and keep the cash in my bank account? Also, once I get a basic idea of the gift deed thing, I will ask u some questions regarding it. |

Ehrnie: Thank you for your response. It is really sad indeed. I didn't really know the full meaning of "medical admissibility'till a few days ago. My son almost got flagged when we went for our medicals. The doctor was already asking for all sorts of reports but then he decided to waive it. It was a huge relief! |

Good afternoon house, pls has anybody been able to do verification during ASUU strike before?. I am just tired. Been on this verification issue with UNN for a month now, so much time and money spent just to get them to verify via email oo. Now they say they are joining the strike even though they are administrative office. I will take it that God wants us to gather more money. My kids must not suffer. I am more committed to this canada matter. Our blessings will not pass us. So pissed Rant over 7 Likes |

swilo: No, I don't think property valuation is acceptable. It used to be some years ago, but not any more. Maybe because it is going to be easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for you to use your documents to prove to them that you actually own those properties. Don't know. So also valuation on jewelry, cars, etc. The thing is to prove that "funds are readily available to you and are available both when you apply and when (if) we issue you a permanent resident visa." What you would need to do (and what some people on this thread have done) is to sell off the land and then tender receipts and proof of sale in order to justify the lump sum deposit into their account. And maybe a LOE. For some other provinces PR applications though, I think landed property is acceptable. Like here for example: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/4000ETOC.asp |

elfmann: Will a fixed deposit of about one month fly? If yes, what documents do you think should be submitted along with it? I am also confused about what to do, as the bulk of my POF is coming from different sources that might complicate my application if I have to start explaining everything. |

Hello Great People, I have applied for EOR, also decided not to take the test till I have my result back. After reading through people’s experience with IELTS especially @bigfido, Jesuba and a couple of others, I thought these are folks who had to wait 2 years or write over 4 times just to have a desirable score, why can’t I wait for 10 weeks more especially when time between new score and remarked score is just 4 weeks. In essence, I won’t be waiting for 10 weeks but 4 weeks. Maximum draws within that 4 weeks period will likely be just 2 – why dash BC 68k if what I’d be missing is two ITA draws. Thank you @Yimiton and Wura27 for your words. You both gave me another dimension to my case. Your thoughts, encouragement and support is priceless. I really appreciate you. Thank You. Jesuba:@Jesuba. You need not apologize please, no offence taken. I had a good laugh reading the post myself. Wish you success in your next attempt. In 40manlappy’s voice… all mentions and wishes duly observed. We have a new week for; PPR to fall on those waiting, ECA fall on those waiting, Better IELTS score over fall on those waiting, FBI PCC fall on those waiting, ITA fall on expectants (maybe una fit wait till next week though). 16 Likes |
