SHALOM! menxer: It is almost funny when people read the one verse of Scripture, then become BRAIN DEAD. Clearly, the Commandment was referring to Murder. There was this HINDU SWAMI... Prabhupada, who fed this idea to a Roman Catholic Priest [See: THE SCIENCE OF SELF-REALIZATION, by Swami A.C. Bhaktivedanta Prabhupada.] and the Priest was totally weak! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I3WWODgCTx8 I just went looking for the reference, and found that it was not just any priest, it was a CARDINAL (next to POPE). This slowpoke could not even defend himself against this hypocrite, who served KRISHNA, one of the most deadly warrior-gods in the history of Asia! The foundser of the HARE KRISHNA sect of BHAKTI YOGA practice now wanted to come and tell the ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH that they were more moral than them, because they do not eat MEAT!!! I was surprised to learn that the confrontation was even recorded. I am yet to listen to it myself. I would wonder why the Cardinal did not bring up the warmongering past of the Hindu people. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I3WWODgCTx8 THE BHAVAGHAD GITA, their holy book, (I own a translation- haven't read it,) is reportedly the exposition of their lord KRISHNA just before this terrible battle they were about to fight- for which they had their excuses, no doubt. The Roman Catholic Church has a terrible history of Warfare and Murder. "THOU SHALT NOT KILL" never affected them. THAT is what should have been discussed, and not diet. The "THOU SHALT NOT KILL" Commandment meant no killing of fellow Human beings on their own determinism. |

menxer:You'd have to post a scriptures which forbids animals from killing other animals for food. And, i have seen several times in NATGEO WILD where Lions killed fellow lions and ate them. Go figure. You went into the Bible you don't believe in, you picked a statute from there and are trying to misrepresent it, even when you don't believe in it's statutes. What do you hope to achieve with this? You say God doesn't exists, he is a Ferry Tale creature, the Bible is fabricated that's why it's filled with contradictions, yet you lose sleep trying to pin murder of real people on the same Ferry Tale character. You are begging the world to see God's statutes as you see them. You believe God contradicted Himself by commanding man not to kill his fellow man but love them, haven already and previously given them to right to eat animals and plants as food. Oga, what about plants? Don't they have life? Why do you kill them? Lawd, i must be going insane to be in this thread this long. Pls desist from quoting me. This is outright stu.pid. 1 Like |

701ecilana: Hahahahahahahahaha Please check who you had that discussion with, I am not that person. @bolded, I guess that exempts the cannibals amongst us then. It might be of interest to read the OP again to put things in context, and attempt to answer the last question asked there in. |

menxer:Are you confused by your own Op? You said God said 'Thou shall not kill', yet commanded animals to be killed, isn't that killing? That is your Op. menxer:Oh, am sorry, i didn't know i was talking to a Lion. 1 Like |

oaroloye:If Krishna was a warrior god, how about Yahweh? Did Yahweh not fight wars using the Israelites? or put the other way, did the Israelites not war in the name and blessing of Yahweh? "thou shall not kill" is self explanatory. Unless you are saying it is okay to "kill" other life forms because they are not human. Anyways, the question, How would we feel knowing that we are to be a delicacy on the menu of another "Being?" still remains unanswered. |

701ecilana:I know you are a thinking being, now that you have summoned the courage to read the OP, can you attempt the question posed therein? Specifically, How would we feel knowing that we are to be a delicacy on the menu of another "Being?" |

menxer:Your feelings don't count here. This guy. Animals were NEVER meant to feed on Humans, The Fall brought that. And, no animal can feed on me even if I was offered to them. Am not like every other person. I have the life of God inside of me. How can an animal eat God. He lives in me. Wonderful. Why didn't Lions feed on Daniel, weren't they hungry enough? 1 Like |

SHALOM! menxer: NOT THE POINT! The point I made was that the HINDU Hare Krishna Master misinterpreted the Commandment to make Roman Catholic Christians look foolish, and himself and his sect wise, and moral for being vegetarian, whereas his people were as much killers as anyone. "thou shall not kill" is self explanatory. Assuming that the Translators translated the term correctly. The SEPTUAGINT Translated the term "kill" as "MURDER." Unless you are saying it is okay to "kill" other life forms because they are not human. That is exactly what The Bible says. The killing of Humans who have committed Capital Sins is not classified as "MURDER." Anyways, the question, How would we feel knowing that we are to be a delicacy on the menu of another "Being?" still remains unanswered. STAN LEE, the Comic Book Publisher raised the question in his "FANTASTIC FOUR" Sci-Fi Comic Book, introducing a godlike character named "GALACTUS," to whom populated Planets are sort of like Cakes to him. Arguments that killing the Earth's population for a Happy Meal would sort of ruin our day have no effect on him. Finally, when he is confronted with a weapon capable of killing him, he agrees to spare the Earth. The best Solution the Oyinbo Mind can devise is to kill the Predator first. This would be why Mankind's Predators stay hidden. |

701ecilana:That doesn't answer the question, or you don't understand the question? If I ask how you would feel being in paradise, your feeling won't count, abi? I wonder who created flesh eating animals? Oooooh, it was "the fall of man" that caused some animals to start eating flesh, abi? |
