You know why I'm even suggesting the diamond thing? It was the same setup Klopp deployed towards the end of last season and Coutinho looked fantastic in it, his performances were so different from the inconsistent ones he served when he had just returned from his injury.

Btw, Busquets is a holding midfielder, basically a recycler.

Neymar wasn't even a great finisher as well. Personally, I think you need more trickery around the final third to open up space and Messi is far too deep in the midfield to give you that. With Messi upfront and a roaming Coutinho behind the forwards, more space would open up..

But your central midfield needs to be sorted first.
