I believe people have had enough patience and its natural for people to vent their frustrations. If PTDF had released the list, no one would have any reasons to speak out angrily. In fact, the longer the list is kept, the more the propensity for it to be altered. I know some of us have faith enough and others connections enough that their names cannot be altered, but what of others?

They say, if you push a Nigerian man to the wall, instead of him to turn back and fight, he would create a hole through the wall and pass through it.

It is the same mentality that makes many Nigerians so subservient that they beg for their rights. It is the same mentality that makes Nigerians thank and praise unctuously paid officials for doing their duties. It's the same mentality that makes some Nigerians go to the embassies and start prostrating to gateman thinking he might be the one to give him visa - some don't just know their left from their right.

Recently, Taiwanese minister resigned after ERROR at power plant plunged 668,000 homes in darkness. Here in Naija, million homes are used to darkness more than light and yet no one takes the heat. We simply cheer them and make excuses for those responsible.


I've paid tax in this country for over 4 years and I don't expect the govt to thank me cos its my civic duty. So shouldn't I RIGHTLY take something out of the system too, if I merit it?

LSS hopefuls may not feel the heat, afterall ASUU just commenced strike so where would they be in a hurry to go? So those ones could be "patient" and not call out PTDF to act fast.

But for OSS hopefuls like me, our case is different. In fact, I received a mail few minutes ago from my school asking what my plans are for fall since semester begins on 28th August i.e. less than 2 weeks! So even if the list comes out this week, I may not meet up with the semester. Afterall PTDF will still do a week of orientation then visa palaver with its attendant wahala, etc.

Ok sir. But speak for yourself. If I wanted Local I wouldn't wait for PTDF. This is not to spite LSS hopefuls but we all know what we want, applied for and hope for. I didnt say LSS don't deserve to know their outcome either. Please, I beg you, don't twist my message - I think it's clear enough. We all don't have the same resumption dates, and yes we all are not feeling the heat equally, at least for now. But you are right about one thing, we are all in this together whether LSS/OSS.

Sorry bro, it appears delay is synonymous with our beloved country. Those who applied for NDDC are suffering the same fate.
A friend that benefitted from the OSS said that the Visa is made easier and shorter by PTDF( a kind of special arrangement). Which isn't the case when you're a self funding student. However, that doesn't in any way mean that this delay is acceptable. The list should be published, simple.
We'll have a testimony in the long run by God's grace.

If my instinct proves right, the list will be published in the dailies latest Friday this week. Expect to see your names soon for the successful ones.
