I don't really know what is going on with Xiaomi, why is some people getting update & some r not getting... I think what other company like infinix always do is that if for example infinix note 4 is getting one particular update, all infinix note 4 will get it, but in the case of Xiaomi, some RN4X r on MIUI 9 and some still stock on miui 8.... This is rubbish. That is exactly what they do with their camera when some RN4X is better than other ones.

This monring I also want to update from V 8.1.15 to 8.2.10 after d update get to %100 it tells me to try again, I just wasted my mb for nothing.

My contact that the stupid phone merged together is still there unresolved...something av never experienced in my life since av been using phone.

The ones that received miui 9 u did not read that its still in beta stage so only users with beta/developer rom have received miui 9.....about ur contacts was it not this place that the issue was trashed n it was as a result of google.....for ur data sorry for ur loss

Be like dem dey give us the thing as compensation or something, pending the time they start dishing out the miui9 global stable
Exactly what comes to my mind when i saw the update and i love that idea. Most users are unlocking their device and flashing global beta just because it carries Android N update.

Can I update directly from 8.1.15.0 without the 8.2.10.0?

For your merged contact, All I did was to delete all my contacts (including MI contacts and Google contacts via browser), disable my MI account contact backup totally and restored my vCard contact backup made on my Windows contact(I always do a vCard backup to my lappy at intervals). Then activate Google contact synchronization.

Updating? You're advised to download your updates using ucbrowser and update manually

Seriously, You just download the update and flash it? Heard that will brick the device except you are on Beta before. Mi Max 2?

The Update is the same stable Android 7.0 Nougat U've all been waiting for plus lots of bugs fix. And it's available to RN4 also. Downloading on mine now & will update u guys later. Regards

My RN4 updated & only noticeable difference is update in Android version to Nougat seen so far. And haven't seen anything to prevent anyone from updating yet.
Regards
