Gendry ran back to eastwatch. When you understand that uncle Benjen serves the 3. Eyed raven, then him appearing makes sense. Can't reply to all your other lines, but go and watch it again. Infact start from season 6. Also perhaps the white walker that jon killed did not turn the wight that was captured.

Uncle Benjen is dead and he has a Dragon Glass on his chest, The Night Walker must have raised him from the dead but because of the Dragon Glass, he can't turn into a White Walker. He must have been hiding, let us cut them some slack, it's a fictional story and they tried as much as possible to make it real.

Jon needed one white walker and all of a sudden all the other walkers around dies except one, can't you see the fake set up for Jon to get one? If the wight wasnt turned by that general, what was it doing in their mist in the first place? Or was it just waiting for Jon to capture it since Jon needed just one, or was it out of sheer coincidence?

As for uncle benjen serving the 3 eyed raven, that doesn't explain how only him survived in the blistering storm when most people died.. ..or does the 3 eyed raven given supernatural life? He even rode on a horse, how did he even feed the horse in an icy desert land for days/weeks/months? There are several questions begging to be answered.

However, if uncle benjen is already dead, why was he shouting out of pain when the walkers were tearing him apart? Or those the dead feel pain?

Guy, you do know Benjen (coldhands in the books) is dead (undead?) right? He would be a wight except for the dragonflass embedded in his chest or so. Recall that that's why he couldn't follow Bran and Meera Reed beyond the Wall at the end of Season 6 cos only the living may pass the wall. Also he works for the 3 eyed raven so...
