Good work I see here. I salute the creator of this thread. Kudos to all the great contributors and the gurus in the house. I respect you all.

Please, I have few questions that bothers me. For someone who is married to a Registered Nurse in naija. What happens to the husband or wife if either of the partners is successful in any of the traveling applications. Will the partner also be allowed to enjoy the benefits of the EB-3 visa(green card) or only the carrier of the application stands to solely benefit apart from allowing the family to also travel.

Secondly, who has successfully completed the Canada process or in any stage of the application?. I want to know.

Lastly, I have a suggestion for the creator of this thread to consider creating a WhatsApp group for this thread. This will give room for a faster communication and sharing of ideas.

I'd to get responses from the gurus and masters in the house. Thanks.

Pls I need someone to respond to the second question concerning Canada processing. Thanks.

Simply put. The only addition is that your spouse won't need a visascreen certificate in the future (already a green card holder) , whenever she is ready to practice. Only nclex pass and licence will be OK for her to apply for a direct job without going through agency. You may remain silent about her side of the story until you immigrate.

What if she's not a Registered Nursing?

Great Nurses, As earlier suggested by @princelynx. The whatsapp group for Nigerian nurses with the dream of working abroad will be created tomorrow. Please quote this message and reply with your number to be added to the group.
@Barbiee, I don't think creating a whatsapp group is good at this point. There are hundreds of people that visit this thread for information. A whatsapp group will deprive them of that info.
Secondly, I don't think that the original intent of the creator of Nairaland is to have people create micro - groups from existing threads.
If there was a whatsapp group before I joined this thread, I probably would not know useful it is because all the relevant information would be shared only on the whatsapp group.
While a whatsapp group may serve the purpose of it's members like getting instant responses to questions, it will deprive others from getting the information they need.
Believe me, I get many requests daily from persons who are keen followers of this thread.
Let's not abandon where I met barbiee, IYIMAN, P406, AjaoSandra and other wonderful people.
Thanks to everyone for keeping this thread alive and keeping it sane (unlike many threads on this forum).

On a lighter note :
What will be my band score if this write up was a test in IELTS

Hi, you have my number already.
To your question, P406 already answered. Nursing or not Nursing, your family gets same visa as you. It means your partner can pursue his/her career as a green card holder. He/she can get work or do business, legally, on the visa.

I see your points, they are valid, however, there's possibility some forum members may have personal and sensitive questions, I suggest they contact Barbiee on WhatsApp, she knows how to sort them out.
Please let's make the forum active and not let it die by breaking it into fragments.

@Auschris I see your point. No more whatsapp group. Let's help each other out here for future references.

To those that has dropped their numbers, I appreciate your compliance but after thinking it through my oga at the top makes a lot of sense. To that effect, please erase your numbers. Thanks for understanding.

To all those starting the cgfns application, please be aware that the transcript request form and license validation form has been upgraded to a new format which can only be accessible after registering your cgfns account and filing your details online.

Do not send the old forms to Nursing council or your school to avoid rejection by cgfns and unnecessary delays.

You don't have to pay for cgfns before you can download the new forms, all you need to do is register your account, log in to cgfns connect and fill in your data.

Hello Nurses, I stumbled on this topic. My industry is travel management, and for the last 8 months a partner in Dubai has been asking me if I could help him get nurses from Nigeria, I know nothing about this. He wants them to have DHA license or something like that and salary is about 5000 AED.

Could anyone help throw more light on this, and if it is worthwhile for me to follow up

Thanks

The process from application to visa interview lasted 8 months. Before I signed up with Avant, I already had CGFNS certificate, visascreen certificate and IELTS.
I tried to accept your request but couldn't. I don't know what the problem was.
