Thanks for this eye opener. Your experience poked me I must say (the mention of August), I won’t want to wait 4 months. Truth is, I have realized it takes more than 10 weeks from experiences read on this thread. Just yesterday, MummyJayGirls still mentioned 12 weeks but the child in me believed the 10 weeks story I was told just because I want the result fast.

Can’t remember who, but someone recently shared his experience of having BC contact him after 10 weeks that they don’t have his original result – result you have to drop with them when applying for EOR. BC be terrorizing folks left, right and center.

Just for pointers, which component did you remark and was there an upgrade?

I endured for every stage o
1) paid for ECA via MCC in sept 2015......received ECA in March 2016.
2) paid EOR on my 2nd IELTS attempt in August 2016,,got an upgrade in december 2016
3) Paid for Intl passport renewal 14 April 2017, went thru hell and got one on 03 july 2017....

We should all know what to expect....when to wait patiently....and when to be proactive.

To answe ur question , i requested a remark in all components minus listening.
My speaking was upgraded frm 7 to 7.5
My writing was upgraded from 6.5 to 7.5
reading remained unchanged.

They are both fast and it depends on your school speedy response and luck too. It might work fast for A but be a reverse for B. Best of luck.

These days it's hard to advice on who is faster.

But if u attended a naija school that knows God and will respond to further enquiries from Wes on time, follow Wes

If ur school get degree for destiny blocking, follow Iqas.

At d end of d day ur ECA will come out one day one day

It's up to u sir/ ma to decide from my advice

So my question is can a sworn affidavit and or notarized document on plain paper suffice in place of reference letter from the company.

When you are uploading documents post ITA, if you read the question mark beside where you upoload proof of studies, it says degree certificates or diploma. So i thought it was a rule cast in stone.

What do u mean? U want to go first and they join u later? U will still need to pay for family of 4 and they must land before the expiration of the visa. Unless u apply and indicate they are unaccompanying, then visa wouldn't be issued to them when u r given.

Anyways for family of 4 according to cic you need $22, 603 (Canadian dollars) and www.oanda.com converts it to N6,434,560

You can go to Swift foto lab, 32 Toyin street, Ikeja. I did mine there no issues but make sure you go with a print out of the cic specification. Four copies was N1k. I'm sure they can help with the digital copies too.

This has been dealt with time without number here. Give your supervisor or manager to sign it for you. Get the photocopy of his ID card /business attach to it. Please take your time to go back to previous pages to get more info on this. There is no time to rush when you don't understand what you are doing. Ensure the letter follow the cic format too. Best of luck.

1. Ur spouse can add up to 30 or 40 points to ur profile depending on whether he/she has Canadian work experience: ECA (education)- 10 max; IELTS (language)- 20; Canadian work experience- 10; Total- 40 points. Take advantage of these extra points.

2. WES gives more points for OND/HND because they evaluate it as 2 or more degrees.

3. Ur friend can't add any benefit except in the case of Provincial Nomination eligibility as proof of having ties to the Province.

4. Having the same surname is immaterial in this process except u intend to claim him as a sibling which gives additional 15 points in Express Entry. However, I strongly advise against this because it will amount to misrepresentation and besides you will have to prove the blood relationship by the birth certificates of both of you showing common parentage.

I read on hellofax that it is only free for 5 pages. But if you are faxing all the required docs to IQAS, it exceeds 5 pages. For example the signed application document alone is 3 pages, then put degree certificate, checklist, ID and payment receipt shoots it up 7 pages. I'm confused , i don't know if there is something I'm not doing right.

I just got a message now after sending the case specific request to them. They are asking I do medicals for my new born. ~Awaiting PPR
