Yorubas don't have much to loss if Nigeria split, instead it will speed up development in SW. The only people that would be affected are the South East and the North. The Igbos know this but they feel they can easily oppress the South south to have a better life.

Yoruba will be a $500bn economy in 10 years
How Igbo no concern me all I know is it will be impossible for them to visit our land

And must we always depend on Nigeria to make our ports busy ?
We can export to South Africa
Supplying china alone will make our ports extremely busy
We can fashion our own trade policy
Today Nigerian passport is discriminated thanks to Igbo drug dealers
We can have our own passport and clean our name

With regards to Kogi it's under ebira and igala two ILLITRATE tribes hell bent on destroying Yoruba of Kogi
Same thing with how Fulani ilorin is hell bent on ruining Kwara
Am 100% sure a full Yoruba nation will thrive better

The only issue will be religion and once we agree no party can be formed on basis of religion we are good

South Africa is a 40m nation and as rich as the entire Nigeria despite being less educated

We don't need to depend on other parts of Nigeria to grow but we can build on their weakness.

South Africa is a nation with 50 million+ population but we need to remember that we had a very wrought beginning. Military rule limited our growth and now we are talking of bad leadership.

How further is Benin republic?

Do you realise they also have Fulani brothers in Northern Benin and Togo?

The ibos and Niger Deltans will not even come anywhere near our port.

So many options for them.

Export

Come on!

Then we will focus on international market !

Thank you my brother

A restructured Nigeria will ensure all our lazy shallow thinking governors sit up or get out.

Collecting federal allocation is doing us no good.

Why are you finding it hard to accept restructuring isn't happening ??

Look at all the wonderful achievements you guys have been posting for sometime now.

Can people in slavery achieve that?

Before Nigeria, Yorubas were enmeshed in a civil war, the Kiriji war.

It took British colonisation to bring it to an end.

And what makes you think it's Nigeria that's making Yoruba starting business

It will happen. Only a matter of time.

Oil may dry up or become less profitable as it is fast becoming now.

No more free money!

So your waiting for oil to dry up before yorubanation makes progress

We are not begging anybody to survive.

Rather we are in a symbiotic relationship with Nigeria and we can gain more from it via restructuring.

It's a toxic relationship affecting our progress oo

Are our businesses patronised by Yorubas alone?

The war is as recent as 1900.

Brother, this thread is not about getting high number of pages, it is about putting valuable and quality information on it. We all know that even if those Igbos pages get to 1000 pages, 950 out of it is garbage. Hope you understand what I'm saying.

Exactly!! You hit the nail on the head! sad

DR. BAMIDELE O. MAKANJUOLA

The Chairman, Vitafoam Group.

So na Yoruba get vitafoam. I just cant imagine how oodua republic will be. We dont beat chest.
laudate

Actually, I didn't realise that Vitafoam had a new Chairman. undecided It was established by British Vita and Unilever in the 60s, but it was later sold off. This same firm bought over Vono Products about 5 years ago. It has also established 2 additional subsidiaries (i.e. Vitapur Nigeria Limited, Vitablom Limited and Vitavisco . Vitafoam also established the Aba Factory (Eastern Nigeria) in 1972, and the Kano Factory (Northern Nigeria). This was later followed by 2 additional factories in Sapele and Jos.

In 2000, Vitafoam capped it all by becoming the first foam manufacturing company in Nigeria to win the much craved International quality award NIS 9002 Certificate for its manufacture and sale of flexible and rigid polyurethane foam, fiber pillows, underlay and adhesives. In 2004, Vitafoam transferred her share registration portfolio to UAC Registrars Limited whilst growth and expansion were continually in motion.

These new developments set off the need to further broaden prospects, thus in 2008 and 2009 Vitafoam Ghana Limited and Vitafoam Sierra Leone Limited respectively were established. However, treading the expansion trail further, in 2010, Vitafoam became a major shareholder of Vono Products and established two sister companies; Vitapur Nigeria (an insulations products manufacturing company) and Vitablom (fibre processing and soft furnishing company). Finally in 2012, it established its youngest inclusion; Vitavisco for production and sales of Visco elastic foam and Latex products.

In celebrating its 50th anniversary and sojourn of resilience, integrity and value adding from inception till date; it’s no doubt an icon of excellent performance, that has permanently made its mark in history. http://whitechapelandpartners.com/vitafoamcorporate/?page_id=170

Toyosi Olugbenga Olawepo is the Chairman of Bresson Energy Limited UK, an oil and gas firm specialising in Independent Power Production (IPP) in emerging economies, and Bresson A.S Nigeria Limited, one of Nigeria's pioneer Independent Power Producers. Olawepo is a graduate of the University of Lagos Nigeria, and also holds a Masters' degree in Global Affairs from the University of Buckingham, UK, where he won the prestigious Max Bellof Award for Best Student in Global Affairs. He trained at the International Human Resource Corporation (IHRDC) in Boston Massachusetts, where he completed a certificate in International Petroleum Management.

Toyosi Olugbenga Olawepo is also the Chairman of Oilworld Limited. He has been in private business for about 23 years, working substantially in the energy sector worldwide. Olawepo is the President of Transnational Energy Corporation, TEC in the USA, which specializes in oil and gas exploration and trading.

Bresson Magboro Power Project is a pioneer Independent Power Project (IPP) conceived in the wake of the Lagos State/Enron partnership. It was then the only IPP without financial involvement of any State or Federal Government. In 2004, the project received the approval of Federal Government as an IPP to sell electricity under a Power Purchase Agreement to PHCN.

The Bresson Magboro Project has evolved over the years, seeking the right policy environment, such as the availability of a Cost Recoverable Tariff for the grid, credible off-taker, and reliable fuel supply.

On February 28, 2012 the EPC contract for the construction of a 90megawatts plant for Magboro, was signed. The plant has a configuration of 2 units of GE LM 6000.

Toyosi Olugbenga Olawepo has been recognized nationally and internationally. He was awarded the Kwame Nkrumah's Leadership Award by The Africa Students Union (AASU) and the Veteran Award in Caracas, Venezuela in 2005 by the World Federation of Democratic Youths.

Bresson AS Nigeria Ltd is poised to attain leadership position, in the area of power generation in Nigeria and Africa. We are working tirelessly, to contribute to the socioeconomic development of a country of over 150 million people. We are committed to making power outage a thing of the past, to improve the quality of life of the people, across all sectors of the economy, and reduce poverty, by making available the needed energy for growth and employment.

Our strategic goal is to deliver affordable, cleaner and efficient energy by providing innovative energy services, using environmentally friendly technologies tailored to meet the needs of our customers and help the people of Nigeria become energy sufficient. With many similar projects in the pipeline, I am very confident that Bresson will successfully consolidate its position as a key industry player in Nigeria, and at the global stage, with IEG of Slovakia as the EPC Contractor, and General Electric, USA as our equipment supplier. http://www.bressonpower.com/chairman.html

Bresson A.S Nigeria Limited, has also signed a 250MW power generation agreement in Paris, France with Aggreko Regional Director, Mr. Christopher Jacquin. Aggreko Plc, is the world's largest temporary power generation company. The project is to be sited in industrial clusters, across the country. An additional 20MW project which is a joint project between Bresson and Aggreko, is designed to serve the immediate neighbourhood of Magboro in Ogun State, as an embedded generation option.
